Thanks so much, and thanks for watching me too! Yeah, definitely for free, at least the first 30 minute episode if I ever get that far. Maybe some day I'll have my own animated series, or make a movie, that's my real dream.

That is great; it is good to have a dream. It is better to pursue it without ceasing. That is what I regret about my dreams; I set them aside to raise a family even though deep in my heart, I had no desire to do so. It was just the "right thing to do" at the time and "everybody else was doing it"; I accepted that blindly.

Your're really good at using toon shader! ^^ I used it for one of my animations, but I need more practice with getting it to look good for my showreel

Thanks! There are a few little tricks I use if you're interested:
One thing I've noticed from experience is that playing around with the light position can often make a dramatic difference in the aesthetics of toon shading. I think cartoon artists often think in terms of shading and silhouettes of the shaded outline to drive where they place the lights, and fudge things a little bit to bring out the geometric detail, where as us 3D artists have to play with the lights directly.
Also, another trick I found (especially for closeups) is to play with the field of view a bit. I find that characters in anime often effectively have a much narrower field of view than the backgrounds. What narrowing the field of view does, is to 'bring in' the shading since you are able to view more of the edges of the character, and you can get the darkening effects on both sides of the geometry.

Well, what I did was to just upload the .avi as the deviation, and then add a 150x150 preview. Of course the problem is the small preview, and having to ask people to download it.. I'll upload the anims to youtube later as well.

Do you work on your own when you do an animation or as a group?

I'm completely on my own for the visuals,
and make everything fom scratch.
However, I will have to get some voice actors and a sound track person to help out with the audio though.
I'm actually quite particular about what I want for the soundtrack and the voices.
I'm thinking it might be tough though since very few people look at my stuff, since its not based on an existing series, and its a 3D animation of a 2D artform. Even my youtube posting only got 36 hits!
I'd like to get an invite to youtube film, to get my stuff out there a little bit more, but I'm still figuring out how to get one.
