Have you ever considered making the green electric Kirby out of perler beads?

Hey there, I noticed that you like cross stitching. I made a website for anime/video game/nerdy patterns. I was wondering if you want to join our community or donate some of your patterns to the site so people who canβt make their own patterns can enjoy something they love to. Let me know if your interested ^-^
You can PM me or email me at: deejaybeta16@gmail.com

Your perler bead sculptures are amazing. I used to play with those so much when I was younger, but I never thought of doing cool stuff like that with them.

Thanks for the fav on my Taz Perler Beads! As you can tell... it isn't real. Looking at your real ones shows me how much I need to change my app to not make beads for the background... but make make it have an edge. I need to figure out how to do that.

I am actually planning on doing a Dizzy Devil from the Tiny Toons SNES game...which is probably very similar to the one you did, only I am not going to do a background as you did. I have already imported the sprite into my program, I just have yet to do it. I do like yours however...I only did one with a background and I do kind of like it...most I do don't need a background though.

The problem I ran into was that the edges didn't look right when I didn't do the background... they were square. I think the right way would be to use a bead image with translucent corners. But the way the app is written now, it looses the alpha channel during one of the translations.
When (if) I get that working, it would also be nice to add a cast shadow effect too.

sounds cool, I wish you luck!! I understand your frustration...I always think that some part of mine look hinkey, but then I back up away from it and it doesn't look so bad. I think sometimes we artists are a little too picky, and probably a little too hard on ourselves.

Wow you know how to make pixels(Am I right?)

Cristiaso In reply to Jet-The-Sayin [2008-11-23 03:07:21 +0000 UTC]
Well I can rip them directly from an emulator on the computer...but usually I just go to websites that have the sprites already ripped and it is way easier that way. It saves time too.
