Hello ! Just wanted to say a few words: I love your art you are amazing ! And I also loved your game "The Mind's Eclipse" (the demo was awesome and I love the designs and drawings of the game!) I even made a little fanart of L because her design is so cool and I can't wait to see what she will do in the full game !
I am really looking forward to what you'll do next !

Aw, thank you for such kind words. <3 The game art is close to being done so I believe The Mind's Eclipse will be released either later this year or very early next year. (But I'm not the one who decides that. Boss man is. lol) Sorry for the late reply! I've just moved states to pursue grad school, so I'm certain there will be lots of new things to see very soon. Although maybe not video game related. I'm getting my MFA in sequential art, BUT who knows, I can go any direction.
Thank you for supporting The Mind's Eclipse and myself as well. Totally love the fan art you drew of L. <3 Keep drawing!

I'll be happy to see what you draw next !
Oh no probs for that it's such a cool game and the art is so unique that I couldn't help myself to support the game !
I am so glad that you like the fanart ! ;3
I will !!

Hi,
I'm launching my new pet project... CommishArtify.com
Basically, it's a marketplace for art commission services. Artists keep 100% of the commission. Yes, no service fees. I am inviting you to be part of this fun site and help me populate it. For more info and how to get started, click here: commishartify.com/about-us/ And also, if you don't mind, please share this to your friends as well. This will really help a lot of artists who accept commissions. Thanks!

It amuses me how completely awkward these weeaboo characters come out in your semirealistic style. It highlights how juvenile their designs are vs. how skilled you are, if that makes sense; I'm sure the commissioners are oblivious to it, but I for one am entertained because I know it's not your fault how awful some of these concepts are.
Personally I can't even accept anime as a style. I reconcile the existence of animes by considering them to be referenced from a subspecies of human native to Japan and the coast of Manchuria (H. sapiens desu), because clearly people who draw anime and people who draw realism are not looking at the same source material.
Anyway, hope you're enjoying your summer. I like seeing your updates because you're one of like three of our classmates who actually keeps making art in absence of assignments (the other two being Icarus and probably Plaid John).

Anime was a big part of my life growing up, but I agree that the two draw from completely different source materials. I'm pretty sure being so into anime actually handicapped me when I was trying to learn the human anatomy.(proportions alone was a bitch.) Some of the anime quality is still with me but I'm progressively growing out of it.
And my summer is going fairly well so far. Slower than I'd like, but I'm working it. (We can't all be speed demons like you.) And yeah, no one does personal art work. like, what the hell art majors?! All these people are going to leave college with an art degree under their belts, but it will be completely useless because they are not artists. I just don't understand.

ha, anime is a huge detriment to young artists. I'd like to see how awesome one person could get growing up being taught how to draw from observation.
People still tell me I draw "that anime stuff." so uh--at least it gives me an idea of that person's intelligence level.
Less competition for us, I suppose. I don't know how they can go to bed without having done some kind of art every day. because I can't. it's just. not an option.

What are you talking about? We see that all through out art history. XD Now, THEY were some awesome artists. lol (Leonardo Da Vinci's sketch books, hands down, are brilliant.)
And just because you draw and cell shade or whatever on the computer doesn't mean you draw anime stuff. What idiots. Do they even art?
And I agree. I may not draw everyday but I am damn sure thinking about it or am doing something art related. (Be it writing, painting, photoshop or researching.) Yeah, so far I don't consider anyone at school real competition. Besides you obviously, because you also draw on the computer, but even then I'm pretty sure we are headed in two completely separate fields.

oh darn, you're right! (of course they were, that's what happens when you get to study from dead stuff!)
we are, and honestly I'm kind of glad for it. :') You'll be one more great artist adding to the crazy competitive field of character animation... so I'm happy with my foot in the bio illustration door; it's rather quiet in here.
Not that I couldn't totally get into character animation and love doing it every day all the time forever--my interest in that hasn't waned at all. Just, its priority has, for now.

Animation is pretty fun but I don't know what I'm going to actually do in the "real world."
I seem to be headed towards illustration and want to go to grad school for it but college hunting is a bitch. Plus our school isn't all that great (let's be honest) so I feel really unprepared. (despite the fact we are both leaps and bounds ahead of our classmates.)
I'd love to do freelance stuff and my own comic (and get paid for it!!!) but I doubt that would cover rent. So as of right now I have no idea what I want to do, but I know I love narrative related things so I'll follow that. I'm pretty good at drawing other people's things so whatever. Or I could teach if I go to grad school. Bit soul sucking tho.
I'm really glad you figured out you wanted to do. With all the research and dissecting birds, bio illustration is probably a good fit. lol (Plus your bio minor. That helps too.)

yeah, the "real-world" work will come into play once you go to grad school and make actual contacts that can help you freelance. That's actually a big reason I want to go to grad school (aside from needing the Master's to actually do medical illustration)--it's all about making contacts.
Seems when you talk to a lot of professional artists, they have a part-time job on the side. Which, I don't know why anyone's ever thought of this, but why not have two portfolios and specialize in two things? Like if I did, say, background art for animations and also freelance bio ill. it's like being a part-time artist times two. which is like being a full-time artist. maybe?
as for comics making money, lord almighty, is that a stretch. It's doable, a little, but... even the most popular Kickstarters were really not that much in terms of profit after the printing goal was met. idk I just do comics for fun, I have headstories and I wanna write them whether anyone else cares or not, hehe... I've long given up that dream of internet popularity for my comics.
really I'm getting a bio minor because angels I want to be a medical illustrator, not the other way around! I do enjoy it a lot, it's not Graphic Design Major Syndrome ("well it's useful so I'll do that I guess"). ...Though it doesn't hurt that drawing from observation is painfully easy and disproportionate in the gratification it rakes in from viewers.

Yeah just saw your month old post for a writer... You still looking for a writer to work with? If so i am still looking for an artist to work with........ I am sure you read a lot of material... But go view my book teaser's in my gallery and see the wild imagery i paint with words... I understand payment but also hear blah blah blah when that word comes about, as most art is pure sacrifice to create something beautiful in form. Though i may appear to be a classical writer, i can change format's quickly but you will never get me to write anything in the shallow end of the pool... I write very deep and very complex... Hope to hear from ya one day

Yes, you can submit the synopsis in this journal:
Looking for Short Story...…To Draw. For free.
Ah ah did I get your attention? Free generally gets people to perk up.
Anyway I'm looking for an Original Short Story (Or Stories) to draw for free. I'll be graduating from College next year as an Animation and Painting major, and I'm looking to bolster up my portfolio with some original work. (I'm sure grad schools or employers aren't that interested in fan art.)
Anyway, I'm looking for a short story that I can do in about 8-15 (COMIC) pages. Meaning, NOT A SERIES. I'm not looking to sell my soul here, I just want a summer project or two.
What kind of story am I looking for?
Well I'm going to try and keep an open mind here, but I tend to like darker realistic stories.
What I have no desire to draw are:
Mecha
Very pointless Smut or sex
Yaoi/Yuri
furries or animal main characters
Edit addition: Japanese stuff (I am out of the phase of my life. Let's keep it to english speakers.)
*****ZOMBIES
Ok, the last one needs to be explained. I
