You know that scene where Guildias dresses Guys up like a Christmas tree and starts talking about that blind mother and the kid and the father who abused his son...
The FUCK was he talking about? Was he talking about how he was the kid?
Because at the end he said "do you want to know what happened to that family?"
Guys said, "yes."
And then Guildias said "the mother died of illness, and the child grew up to be just like his father."

So I was like "wat?" Is the "child" Guildias?

Yeah, he was the kid. He had to take care of his blind mother a lot, I'm guessing she might have been mentally ill as well (???). In the animu version, there might be a connection with Myuca looking sort of like his mother who had died--What other reason would he tell such a random story, I am not sure... unless he is merely trollan.

I am a huge freaking Guildiasfag. Soooooo *cough* I think that the way he grew up, in a pretty warped childhood, of course he'd become hella warped. (Still no excuse for what he did.) Durer sure followed in his daddy's footsteps.

But, as crazy as Durer is, he seems pretty happy being a sadistic rapist. Guildias always struck me as miserable, easily flipping out and taking offense and making really random batshit crazy choices. That 'Christmas Miracle' he told to Guys being his back story, he never had a sense of normality or even much of a childhood, and a great father figure (abused children often grow up to be abusers, in the olden days especially.)

There are so many different kinds of 'batshit crazy' in Enzai, aren't there. It's depressing in a way XD but also very interesting. However, all those types of crazy seem to manifest themselves as foreign objects getting shoved into the rear end of a little boy somewhere down the line. So maybe they are not so different, after all.

Yeah that lovely Christmas Tale was Guildias' childhood. He told it to Guys because he is batshit crazy and aside from being a terrible human being and rapist and criminal/murderer, he really has nobody, but is incapable of developing close bonds in ordinary ways, even with people he 'loved' (or was obsessed with... I.E Myuca.)

YAR I liked Guildias, too. I felt really sorry for him. I watched teh animu before I played the game and... in comparison, I really don't like the anime that much... but I actually liked how Guildias an hero'd at the end of it.
