I don't think NT types are necessarily that rare in the art community, but they might have a different understanding of what art is or a different style.
LOL, I saw a report about an association of female artists once. They were all hippie women who argued that "women's" art is more colourful and creative than "men's" art. Haha, all the "women" in that club were ESFPs etc and their paintings were splashy affairs in very bright colours. LOL, I'd say type was the decisive factor there, not gender/ sex. ....

True. Females comprise a larger percentage of SF and NF types than do men, though; so there may be something to the influence of type on traditional perception and stereotype of aesthetic influenced by gender.
