Also, really mature blocking her, sweetie. Calmly pointing out problems with your ethic is not trolling, nor is it an attack. It is advice for the future. A lot of others could have taken this to a whole new extreme, but instead she politely pointed out the problems and how to fix them.
Notice how a lot of her art has stock photos used as references? She credits the stock artist and asks for permission to use said stock as a ref, then links back to her piece when it's done. A lot of times artists love seeing edits of their work as long as permission is given and they can see the final product!
Communicating with the artist is key.

Then upload them on tineye and search for a source if you still want to post them on deviantart. The rules of edits are permissions and source links are needed if that is what the artist wants nevermind the fact that maybe the 'artist unknown' doesn't even want you to use their pictures for edits.
Such is the case with a lot of pixiv artists. They REALLY hate when their art is used for edits without permission because of the language barrier making such a wall for them to communicate their disdain.

I shouldn't need to give an original copy. When you use someone else's work to create your own, you credit it. It's a simple rule of copyright. By bringing up others that have used this technique, aka: the one of not sourcing at all and then claiming they have a source (but not permission) and never putting it up, you are creating a red herring situation. Let's look at what a red herring is, shall we?
A Red Herring is a fallacy in which an irrelevant topic is presented in order to divert attention from the original issue. The basic idea is to "win" an argument by leading attention away from the argument and to another topic. This sort of "reasoning" has the following form:
Topic A is under discussion.
Topic B is introduced under the guise of being relevant to topic A (when topic B is actually not relevant to topic A).
Topic A is abandoned.
This sort of "reasoning" is fallacious because merely changing the topic of discussion hardly counts as an argument against a claim.
Your use of fallacies will not work on me sweetheart. I have no problem with your friend posting edits, as long as they credit the original artist and link to the source when they do so. Trust me, as an artist myself, having put years and years into developing my skill, I know the feeling of having your hours of hard work ripped away from you, edited and made 'better', but never sourced. It hurts a lot, because what is art but a personal creation made to please the people? All I'm asking is for a little recognition for the original artist.
And that doesn't mean a link to a picture on photobucket either. That isn't a source. Photobucket has so many reproduced pictures it isn't even funny. A source is a link to a deviantart/sheezyart/fa/yaoigallery page or the artist's pixiv or original website.
Oh, but wait. I saw none of these.
