This is more me actually. I LOVE clean and polished lines and sites. I can work within clean. Random freaks me out. The old site was more random. I wanted to make it look pro. I need to work more on the code for it though.
And for now my laptop is gone for repairs and i am going crazy without it, coz I have so much work to do still on it. Not look wise, but code wise.

Love the colors and style of the background and the grungy effects. Layout is great, simple and very much organised. The fact that you've decided to keep it all on one page is a great.
From the start, what bothers me though, max, is the drop-shadow effects you did for the buttons. It feels a little... amateurish? I would tone down the drop shadow's blur a little more for your name as well since it starts to make it difficult to see on screen. But maybe it's just a personal opinion,
Your portfolio is lovely and has a nice mixture of works. I really would be surprised if your didn't get a job after your client see this website,

Thank you. I appreciate your input. I have been staring at the title for so long. I knew something was off, just couldn't quite put my finger on it. So thanks. I wanted to give the name a 3-D effect because I like the two tone color on it, I'll try to make it some other way in 3-D then.
I might just flatten the menu bar as well. I think the shadow behind the section titles is enough.
"amateurish" - that's what I am always afraid of. I will work on something for so long that I can't tell anymore after a while. I need to distance myself.

One of the greatest benefits of time is the luxury of taking that time to step back and returning a while later to re-assess your work. A fresh perspective gives the artist/designer/creator to improve things that he/she didn't even know needed improvement,
Amateurish is really just a word to describe what a person would regard as over-done. At least that's how I used it to describe your choice of effect. Drop shadow has to be very carefully used and controlled. It's one effect that can, very quickly, be amateurish.

Papers? Oh you mean the midterms, one for Biomedical Instrumentation, for which I keep thinking why haven't I dropped that course when I had the chance, and Civil engineering Transportation course, which should be alright.
Yeah breaks are an awesome thing, I wish I had a break now. I talked to my godmother from Germany and she said universities just had a week long break. Ugh I want that!!!
