... FWIW --- I have found that MOST factory RVs are bulky, top-heavy, unsafe, fuel-guzzlers... The better option is to buy a used charter bus and fix it up the way you want (federal law requires roll-cage protection for upwards of 40 passengers / some RVs are nothing more than styrofoam coolers bolted to a truck chassis / they're exempt from many safety regulations as long as production doesn't exceed certain numbers per model)...
... You can still pick up a decent 35'GM coach for around $ 5000 - $ 15,000 due to the fact that they can't be used for anything BUT RV or entertainer conversion...
... Go for the 8V series Detroit Diesel (the 6-cyl models just don't have enough power for climbing in the mountains)...
... Avoid school buses --- they only get about 5 mpg fuel economy / a diesel charter coach can get 12 - 15 mpg... Factory RVs get 8 - 10 at best, Most only do 5 - 7 !
... If you're alone --- it may be best to just stick to a standard full-sized van and toss a mattress & porta-potty in the back... I did THAT for years !

... PS --- When I buy a coach to convert, I usually look to buy an older RV to strip for components --- saves a LOT of $$$ that way ! ... You can usually get the purchase price back when delivering the shell & chassis to the scrap-yard...
