I've just been busy with university & stuff. I'm mostly on Tumblr these days, if anywhere. I still draw in my spare time. Oh and a bunch of my old violation reports started flooding in too... All of them "needing more information" even though I always make sure to send a link to the original artist.

But yeah, I'm still alive~

Well, it's good to see them doing some more work in getting people like that off the site. I remember maybe 2-3 years ago, dA did a mass purge of the "Resources and Stock" category since people were complaining about "renders" and such. Unfortunately, it didn't really stop the lazier side of the GFX community, but yeah, at least we know dA is willing to do something like that once in a while~

I'm pretty good~ I know right? I'm just working and studying a lot, so dA is on my way back burner... But hey, at least I'm making money. I'm taking a standardized test before summer classes start, so everyone is on my bum about it. (I just want to play games now lol.)

Aww... Well, people do relate to familiarity more often than change. Which reminds me of that comment Hayao Miyazaki made about the current state of the anime industry: (Something along the lines of) "otaku are making anime for other otaku instead of stories for the everyman." I will admit though, it feels awesome when you find a hidden gem of media that later on becomes widely popular~ You'll have your day.

Why, yes, I believe we met under those circumstances. My jimmies do get rustled whenever I see art theft and the user has the nerve to accept praise for it... But then I realize that they'll never get anywhere by just blocking me and continuing what they're doing. And neither will I if I dwell on the negativity of the encounter. I just have to keep practicing and leave them in the dust~

Take is easy, we don't need to hide our guestbooks from our "fans" at least. On the fault are also the peers, not being able to differ a scanlation from member-made digital art. I also use scans as resource material and working with them since 6 years made me able to recognize one in seconds.
Unfortunately this is a drop in the ocean, whole DA is now full of scans, renders and stolen art from Pixiv. The fun will start when Pixiv will take action, cause they do that and in hard way.
We also used to have some wallpapers based on pixiv art and we needed to take them off despite that we credited them in full and only the characters where used. Luckily I never had any.

You're welcome~ I went ahead and read the other descriptions from your latest submissions and I had a look through your gallery. (Which is why I made the remark about your descriptions~) I know the feels. I went through some of my old sketchbooks and while I did cringe multiple times, I really had a burst of nostalgia and motivation to do better.

Thank you~ I was sketching him in class one day when some mates said they really liked it and watched me finish the drawing. I will agree that a lot of the shows on American Cartoon Network aren't as great as the classics nor have as big an audience as anime today... But I do hope we'll make a comeback soon. Until then, we do have a channel called Boomerang that plays the old Hanna-Barbera cartoons and other golden oldies 24/7.

To honestly answer your question, no. Because in my time in being an art thief hunter (which is pretty long and ridiculous), I realized that it really only takes one person to report something. Too many people report and the process takes longer for the admins to take care of the situation.

I just warned her that very first time since I heard from another user that [ wolfandlpslover ] had this place confused with Tumblr or something. So, I checked it out and the rest is history. I even told her to make feature journals instead with links on how to properly code an attractive-looking feature journal. I gave her a link to an example as well. There's even a sub-category for those in the "Journals" category.

Needless to say, my 2nd anonymous source told me that she was STILL uploading "stolen" art. I sent her that message recommending that she leave dA until she was mature enough to stop posting other artists' works. She still doesn't realize that she was hurting the original artists, with or without her lazy crediting. She even sent me a smiley face with her reply and I took that as her being snarky with me and FAR from "being in tears".

It's fine if she doesn't believe me. It's fine if you don't believe me. But I know what I did and didn't do. I gave her several warnings and genuinely complimented her on "her" art when I thought it really was hers (admins don't usually remove art unless someone has real proof that someone stole it.) Only the wolves and cats and that one Grell are still up, so I'm sure those were really hers.

You can tell her I'm not mad and that she shouldn't be afraid of me. I'm just tired of trying to help people without them either ignoring me or taking my kindness for granted.
