I dont recall if this is from the Normal or True ending; but as you said, seeing these two together after all the shit they went through is certainly a refreshing change. 

One of the good things about SRW, they can play with the outcomes of the shows they feature a lot.

This is the true ending. And yeah, I enjoy this outcome a lot more than canon. Even if it doesn’t completely fix all the problems, it got through at least half of them and boy, did it heal my mental state. 

My current concern now though is why the SRW continues to use AIs and other soldiers. True that Mana is supposed to be “peaceful” and their military is extremely weak without Embryo and his Ragna-mail (the bug-like Pyrethroids being the exception), but the fact they do have vehicles show they can still fight.

I dont know, honestly. Maybe they just dont feel like modelling new enemies, given they already have the dragons, and the fight against the Misurugi empire is a little part of the history anyway. Maybe they just dont feel like it is worthy.

besides, dehumanizing their armament seems like a Misurugi thing to do, you know? It is part of them pretending to be better than the Norma, and having death machines to do their dirty work so they have their hands clean is hypocrital as hell. Maybe it´s themeing for the sake of practicality, or practicality for the sake of themeing; and honestly, I dont see it chaning any time soon; given Cross Ange will probably have less importance every time it shows up.

That’s true and I know that they managed to do something like how Iori/Amari did to their soldiers in X. Even so- and I say this knowing that it’s against the moral ideal of killing civilians- they should’ve done more than just leave Misurugi in ruins. After all, a villain can do so much pain even without a weapon.

EDIT: I guess for now, I can leave that to the imagination as to what the royal sisters and their respective groups will do to anyone, civilian or not, who want to cause trouble.

The fate of Misurugi is hard to tackle, I think. In the show, it basically is a destroyed kingdom where only strong people might be able to survive in the future. It was a way to show that the people might survive after they struggle for once. It was karma, in a way.

In Super Robot Wars, it is different, since there are so many other factions that could help them in the way. humanitary help after the war wouldnt be that out of the question. This was probably worse in V than in X, however. And if you change a lot of the ending, you risk changing the themes and ideas of the show. And again, it seems like a small detail, all things considered. It´s not like Cross Ange is like SEED Destiny, that needs tons of changes in order to be workable enough. The fate of Misurugi is one of the few things that could be changed, but doesnt seem necessary, especially if it´s just for an epilogue.

The things is, they could do something with it whenever they tackle the show as post-finale. Whenever that happens.
