me and my comrade are arguing about how to pronounce "Cidade de Deus" correctly. could you explain me how do people pronounce it in Brazil.

let me see if i can help you, well, i guess iff you talk this way it may sound correct for a brazilian,
"See" = ci
"tha" = da (as you pronunciate "tha boss" the sound of "Tha" is quite similar
"g" = de (the sound of the letter "g" sounds like "de"
"g" = de again the same sound of "de"
"The" = the sound of "De" here is diferent
"us" = the sound of "U" of the word "precious"
so i gues if you say:
"See tha g g the us" will sound exactly as "Cidade de Deus" for us Brazilian, if yoou follow my instructions. heheheh.

yeah.. there are a lot of differences.. even in the same country, sometimes the way you speak a word in a state of is different of the way you speak in other state...the same language, different pronunces. but that one i explained to you reffer at the way the speak in Rio de Janeiro and the near states.
