It takes time to make costumes to don't rush. And mock up your design with muslin first. That way you can get a idea of what its going to look like. I don't normally mock up the WHOLE costume normally just the complex parts like on that one all the belt parts. And keep in mind that your seems are going to take up about an inch so make sure you cut it about a inch - inch and a half wider than you really want.

I never would have thought to do that but it makes sense. That way someone like me that makes little mistakes can spot them in mock-up. I'll keep the inch/inch and a half rule in mind too. Thank you. :) (Smile)
