I just started using it myself and I was wondering if you use custom brushes or just what it comes with. You do gorgeous work, keep it up!

It's a mix but I use mainly the default brushes - Darker Pencil for sketch, G-Pen for lineart, and mainly Dense + Opaque Watercolors for shading.
As for custom tools, I don't use any I've made myself, but I do use ones I've downloaded from the asset portal. The majority of my shading I can do with the Dense Watercolor tool but there's a few brushes I switch to occasionally. Other than that, I use assets mainly for decorations & patterns or experimental work. Hope this helps

Okay, I like to use the G-Pen for lineart too but it seems like a lot of people don't use it for some reason. >.<
I haven't used the dense watercolor yet, I'm really bad at configuring the settings...Do you have really specific settings for the dense watercolor or do you adjust as needed? Like, are the setting for hair different than your settings for skin?

Haha yeah, there's a lot of lineart assets floating around. But nothing ever worked for me as well as the G-Pen. Before I used CSP, I used SAI, which has very simple pen settings, and the G-Pen felt closest to a SAI pen to me.
Other than brush size, I don't take the settings off their default XD. Depends where you want to take your style though I guess. I like to leave a rougher look/keep my brushstrokes around rather than the soft airbrush look, which is why that brush works well for me, and if I need something to look softer that's where I start using the opaque watercolor/some other brush.
No problem! I don't tend to get a lot of questions about my art aside from maybe the hair coloring, so I'm glad you asked.
