Some of the stuff you post is phenomenal - not just in what catches your eye but also in how (hoping I'm not making a fool of myself here...) you represent it - I'm guessing there's a fair amount of editing work in some of the stuff you produce. And to be fair it's a pretty stunning work of art you finish up with - often breathtakingly so

thank you very much I often spend more time in photoshop/photomatix than i do shooting, partially due to the limitations of my gear (my cell phone camera has a higher resolution than my SLR ), but also because HDR photography lends itself to a lot of digital darkroom work.

No, I have not enough talent to imitate a style.
As I explain in my deviant ID section, my drawings are pencil reproductions of artists works (drawings, paintings, etc ...) or celebrities photos and sometimes I reproduce glamourous or soft porn pictures.  
My pleasure is to do this with only 2 or 3 standard pencils and, especially for photos, to focus on details and shading.
