# About me
Hello everyone, my name is Sarah and I am twenty three years old. I am aspiring to dedicate my life to academia and become an author of fantasy fiction someday. I am currently attending college to get a Bachelor's Degree in English and Publishing. I hope to one day achieve a Masters (possibly PhD).I've taken many writers' classes at the Loft Literary Center, my state's leading literary center. I've met agents, authors, and editors, and I am very passionate about writing. I was a member of my previous university's literary journal. I also partook in open-mic night where I read a published story in front of a bar crowd. Due to some wonderful people I've had the opportunity to meet over the years (good friends), I was a part of two book clubs you could say. One a monthly photo challenge where we discussed all things literature while taking pictures of our books, the other a simple read-a-book-and-discuss-over-tea. I have also had the amazing opportunity to volunteer as a teaching assistant for immigrants and English Language Learners (ELL) in my own home city.
My favorite classes I've taken in college have been those pertaining to classic literature, and, at the risk of sounding vain, I have managed to land A's in each of those classes with a current GPA of 3.8. Yet, beyond my writing, I often find myself immersed in video games with my squad. I am also an introvert who chooses to spend afternoons eating chocolate and watching comedy TV. My quirky every day life consists of taking walks, playing football or basketball with my boyfriend (weather permitting), spending as much time as I can with my squad (my video game partners-in-crime), updating and tinkering with the desktop computer I built, working to afford school, and reading, reading, reading as many new books as I can.
Anyway, I've found a lot of inspiration from different sources over the years which have helped me improve my writing and continue striving toward that dream. Thanks to The Lord of the Rings, The Pendragon Series, and Treasure Planet I've become so much more as a person and a writer. If anyone would like to critique my work or just stop by to say 'hello' I'd be more than happy.

On a side note, if you can't find me at the library you can usually find me hunched over a computer playing an intense round in Borderlands 2. As I love that game, I had to fill up this information page with fun gifs I found of my favorite character, Maya.
