Great actually! Just got a job and a car, haha. I'm in nursing school now so I never get to draw anymore (though I seldom updated anyway...). I have this new character who I love and doodle a lot of and was considering posting a picture or two of him, but again... no time

Well, could have been better - I'm still jobless, so I just carry on with my commissions here on dA and some wacky translating assignments every now and then. Doesn't cost much, but hey, nobody else seems to want to have me working for them. Studies... ugh, so many assignments there as well; hopefully I'll manage to do the final year without paying. Every cent I currently earn, goes to my "lifebelt" savings - if, Monolith forbid, I get kicked out from the government-funded study place and have to pay for the next study year myself, I will have some capital to cover the expenses.
I also am currently considering continuing studies after my bachelor's in Norway (you know, so that I could use the language somewhere), and who knows, I might even remain there to live and work, eventually.

Honestly I think moving away somewhere could be really beneficial for you. You just have to figure out how to get a job first. When getting a first job it's all about the resume and how it's worded/how cushy it is with volunteer experience.

Merry Christmas to you too bud!! I was depressed in the beginning of my break but I pulled through faster than I ever have when going through a depression. Now I'm doing awesome and enjoying the hell out of myself again and it feels great.

Great! Thanks for asking!! How are you? I'm getting through school and PUMPING IRON every day. And recently I found out that I would only be needing two more years of college after this one because I tested out of a shit ton of classes!! Life is good sometimes, haha.

Not so good on my end - my sciatica still gives me rough time sitting at my lectures, my course report is going nowhere, I am still jobless (although they've taken me as the replacement, in case someone would leave their work position) and I couldn't find a leather coat anywhere. At least I've still got my drawing commissions on the roll.

Life's been going pretty well for me! Well ok, this week's been a little rough (had to give away one of my dogs, had a break-up, best friend moved really far away... all in one week fml) but I've chugged through and I mean, you know me... I'm too damn optimistic, haha.
But otherwise, school is great, I'm happier and more confident than I've ever been, and I lost a ton of weight. 

How have you been doing?? It sucks that our time zones don't let us Skype chat as much.

Yeah, the Skype issue really sucks. On top of that, it has been giving me hard time when trying to talk to my local friends as well - it is constantly connecting-disconnecting-connecting again; what a pain in the neck.

As for myself, I keep exercising my backbone muscles, since my sciatica is still painful - and the church-grade hardwood seats at my university do not help much in this case as well. I'm currently working on a few commissions and racking my brain over how am I going to improve my semester paper's introduction, since my adviser told me to write it all over again. Couldn't find a decent leather coat at my local thrift stores, so I am still planning to buy that one from eBay with the cash made in my commissions.

Personally, one of my own favorite songs is this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hce8z2… Since it is called "A Peaceful Night"/"Спокойная ночь", it amazes me how it actually has this feel of a day ending and the night approaching. The guitar solo beginning at 5:01 in the video has numerous times called "the most atmospheric solo in the entire Russian rock history".

About Tsoi himself - yes, it is a sad thing that he is no longer among us, although there is his "double", who has his own band as well (Z-Exit). However, he's nowhere as good as Tsoi, but is quite good, and currently lives in United States (Boston, if I recalled correctly from his numerous interviews). This guy has some talent, sure. But you're right- he'll never come close to Tsoi. Sergey's still pretty great, though. Looks so much him, too. And he lives in my country!

Thank you! The only thing what made the project somewhat difficult, was the actual tone of the car: I couldn't understand, what color was Tsoi's car IRL, since there are a lot of sources on that, and they all differ. Some say that it was dark blue, other sources point out that Tsoi's Moskvich 2141 was dark gray... The actual photo from the crash scene does not also provide much answers, since it is black & white.
