DUDE, I haven't talked to you in forever! How's college been treating you? Just about everyone I know is pressuring me to go to college in the Pacific Northwest, how's the transition from the Bay Area?

College is...college. Art schools are famous for being bitchy, what can I say? But, you know, the good out weighs the bad.
The Pacific Northwest is really beautiful, I love the nature there. The forests are really cool. But it isn't so different from the bay so it was easy to like and get used to. Just rains a lot X3
Plus I like living in Portland :3

Yeah, that's what I've heard. :c I've also heard that art schools are really overtly competitive..which scares me because I'm a competitive enough person already xD who knows.
That's cool though. I always assumed I'd go to college really far away but I've definitely been spoiled by bay area weather, seeing that I don't really get along with the real cold or heat. I'm pretty wimpy.
I'm a junior in high school now, so I have all that SAT business to worry about..ugh x_x High school is so bleak LOL

They get competitive, the degree of that though I think really does weigh on the school and the major your going for. At PNCA Illustration is the competitive major I think, and that's what I am majoring in hah...save me.
I'm really ambitious and competitive, so that sorta stress is almost fun for me.
I thought I was going to too, but hah, Portland isn't too close to home. I've only come back for Christmas, and once I go back I will not return again until summer--then after this summer I'll probably live in Oregon year round (at least until college is over). Oregon is colder and it rains more, but it isn't too different from California to freak me out.
Ew, SATs XP Well, they aren't too bad, I'm sure you'll do fine--I didn't study for mine to be honest and I was a little fucked up on cold medicine from the flu I had (my mother forced me to go despite how sick I was).

Mmm yeah, I hope the competition isn't enough to discourage though, I'm not sure my inferiority complex could take it, really. Oh well, I guess I just need to tell myself that I still have a year or so before REALLY worrying about it xD

Yeah, you do have a year, and the competition in art school doesn't heat up until your second year anyways I think.
I haven't been near U of O yet, just mostly up and around Portland and the general coastline, but it seems like a pretty state over all.
I'm sure you will, it isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be.
