I've always loved the Medieval and Japanese culture and with it the warfare that revolves around the day to day life. I have a lot of research photos and I love to read fiction in those periods. As for drawing swords, most of it comes from using some of them in real life and using a good ruler for straight lines. Armor just takes practice and stepping back to remember what needs protected and how will someone actually move in the armor. There is real armor and there is fantasy armor. Sorry, I can blather a lot on these topics.

Best way is keep in contact. I suppose the first thing to do is: 1. Figure out what types of swords interest you: Real ones, Fantasy, or a blend. 2. What types? Long, Short, Delicate, Heavy, many things to consider here. Think on these things for a bit.
