i used to try to keep up with Phofo but at one point he stopped posting to work on a cartoon and then i never bothered to check back. i lurves him in the face tho.

oooh yeah... first off: I'm not surprised you've heard of FPM. I had never heard the song that you sent me, so 3 points to you. Next up, that William Sheller track was pretty phenomenal; around the 0:59 mark, it strongly reminded me of this little gem: [link] -just the airiness and atmosphere of it all... finally, Poperetta was a great throwback. to counter, I have to go with a classic you may not have heard in a while: [link] -time to break out the eames lounge chair and brandy snifter!

i was really into shibuya-kei (e.g.: [link] or [link] ) back in the day which is where fpm found early success but kinda went a little more clubby mainstream which got him in the american markets. i dont think his cut-and-paste loungy early stuff was really avalible back then. i would know. i was looking for it!

This entire week I have attempted to capture a great crepuscular shot- carrying the camera with me, yadda yadda- and while I've captured some great material, still no crepuscular. On the ride home today- I look up and see the most *stunning* crepuscular rays over this neo-gothic style church in midtown- it was also the first day I didn't bring the camera with me- drag.
