Hey nice cake! Mrs. Morlan came and showed it to my class this morning. I love Ace of Cakes. One of my favorite shows. It looked pretty amazing! Where did you get your materials?

Thanks, I was on an Ace of Cakes high this week and when she said we could bring in food for pi day, the first thing that popped into my head was an awesome little cake. I luuuuuv baking.
I just used two boxes of cake mix(white and chocolate so it was marble on the inside) and once I baked it, I cut it into a pi shape. Then I got some fondant from michaels, rolled it out, covered it up and stuck it to the cake with strawberry jelly, and then colored the extra and used it to make circles to put on the cake, which just turned out lookin like blobs. haha.
the inside was yummy(we still have the extra cut out pieces) but I don't like the fondant cause its just a sheet of pure sugar. Gag.

I love Ace of Cakes! I would love to do that for a living. Working at Charm City Cakes would be one of the best jobs. Partly cuz I love designing and building things(I'm like geof) but also cuz i get to eat candy.
I'll have to try making a cake some time. I'm not much of a chef or a cook but I can build things down to minute details. Next year I'll make a better pi cake than you!

ace of cakes=awesomeness. the only problem I'd have would be eating the cake batter and not having enough once i need to bake it. I was able to (sorta) restrain myself with the pi cake. but I got to lick the spoon anyways. 
candy is dandy.
I actually work on cakes pretty regularly since we have a bunch of family members that live here in ga, so when we work on bday cakes or just get-together stuff, I'm always around to bake and decorate. and lick the spoon. mmmmm. my cakes are yumtastic. and theyre not (normally) those out of the box stuff, but from scratch.

I can't cook to save my life but who has to know whats under the fondant??
I work at Bounce-U so we have cake all the time to the point where we're sick of it. So I wouldn't have problems with eating it in the process. I've tried to gain weight but it doesn't work so even if I did eat it I wouldn't get fat. Go fast metabolism!

Haha, true. I wonder what the Ace of Cakes stuff tastes like. Most of it is just decor fondant, so I'm sure that just ends up getting thrown away. Hm.
Bounce U...never heard of it. o_o my nephews and cousins only go to chuck e cheeze. gosh, I'd get sick n stop eating before I got fat lol.

Yeah, I just get lazy or frustrated and never go back to finish it completely. And anything I do manage to complete tends to come out rather half-assed. Grrr.
