Stan the mouse was bored as he sat down on a chair in his hole, "oh I am so very bored," he said to himself as he yawned loudly, "I just wish that I could see some action here?" As he said this there was a loud crash followed by a bang coming from outside his hole, Stan quickly rose from his chair and ran towards the opening what he said shocked and surprised him, the vain ginger cat Tomsk was outside in one of his paws was a young yellow coloured duckling the poor thing looked dead, "oh goody, goody," the cat said to himself, "I've been looking forward to this all week fresh boiled duckling I wonder if it will taste good?" The greedy cat licked his lips as he imagined what the duckling would taste like, a look of horror appeared on the small mouses face, "I've got to save that duckling," he said to himself, "but how think?" He said to himself as he hit himself with his hand, a smile appeared on his face he would trick that dumb cat, the mouse then crept after the cat and followed him into the kitchen, as he crept into the kitchen he watched as the large cat dropped the duckling on the floor and carefully held it in place with his large foot which stank like mouldy blue stinky cheese, "oh gross," Stan said in a low voice, "oh that poor thing I better do something and fast."
He then hid under the table and watched as Tomsk went over to the side to look for a knife and a chopping board, watching him doing this gave Stan an idea what if he could somehow switch the duckling and Tomsk's tail? he would have to move fast and quickly as he knew that the cat wasn't the most patient of creatures, he watched as the cat walked slowly up to the table in his paw he held a sharp knife, "oh yummy, yummy I've can taste duckling in my tummy." Tomsk said as he looked down at the duckling underneath his foot he then smiled at the poor thing as he turned his back to get a chopping board, as soon as his back was turned Stan made his move and raced toward the duckling "hey are you, OK little guy?" Stan asked the little bird, "don't worry I've got an idea to get you out of here," he then looked over towards Tomsk and saw his long tail a smile appeared on Stans small face as he raced towards it
