Hello!

I'm relaxing at the moment, as it happens Exams are done, summer is here (but it's raining), and for the first time in ages neither me or the boyfriend are busy, so been doing lots of stuff together. Going out on a tour of some caves in the National park near our city this afternoon Also gradually getting some useful volunteering work that'll be really good for my career, so that's exciting.

How are you, the hubby and your menagerie?!

Niiiiice ...

We're good. The new house plans are moving oh so slowly. But we're approaching our 3rd year of marriage and I'm excited and proud about that. All of our animals are well. We got a new (temporary) dog and a rooster named Roger whom I'm very fond of even if he is a rooster and I said I'd never like roosters.

Hehe, is he a noisy flirtatious rooster? We used to live in a house where all our neighbours had roosters... didn't appreciate that at 5am in summer! It's nice to hear updates from you more regularly on Facebook

Yeah, winter is pretty miserable in UK... rarely any snow to make it fun, but plenty of cold wind and rain! Doesn't help that we're students so skimp on the heating at times to save money.
Ugh, I'll bet you're glad all that's over! I don't think I could live in the States, the politics is scary. How are the bunnies?

Ugh! Hope things get warmer for ya, dearie.

The rabbits are fat and sassy. Blue (the female) is about twice Alpha's size. Our bulldog, Boss, has adopted them as his surrogate puppies.

We're also getting chickens!!! We're almost finished with the coop. Will wants Rhode Island Reds. He wants to name one of them Coosa ... and one Killer! (I kid you not!)

Aww! Bunnies! I didn't know you had a bulldog Is he an American bulldog or one of our squidgy-faced English ones?

Chickens can be great, but you can really see how they're descended from dinosaurs sometimes! My dad farms free range hens for eggs, and they can be pretty vicious to one another, so I hope Killer won't live up to her name! Still, they make the loveliest noises and are a lot of fun to watch scratching and pottering about Good luck with them! I look forward to seeing poultry pics in your gallery.

Boss is an American bulldog. I definitely think he's William's canine counterpart. They both think alike.

Plus, for all Boss' bad-assery (he kicks the butts of all our neighbors' dogs, literally), he adopts any cuddly, helpless-looking animal as his own. He's such a lovable spaz.

Aww Our dog does not do a very good impression of fierceness. Very few people have ever been convinced by his tough-guy barking when someone turns up at the farm.

Very quiet at the moment! I'm back home for the summer, slowly gettig used to the whole rural thing again Going back up to my university city on Saturday though- need to move things to my house for next year (and see a male of the species )

Yup, it's been a long time coming: we'd been good friends for a few months through a university club before any other thoughts got into our heads, and I was really hesitant, having got screwed over by someone a few months beforehand. We're a really bizarre-looking couple, you wouldn't think we'd have anything in common if you didn't know us. But it's going really well Going to miss him over summer.

The weather was baking and beautiful right up to the very end of exams- wasn't fair at all Ah well, still got a few nice things planned up here before I head home.

It was a strange one without Dad ... But I suppose that's expected.
William had to work, of course. (He ALWAYS has to work on Xmas.) But we got a pretty wild and crazy New Year's Eve together:

Yeah, I hope you were ok My grandpa died a few weeks ago but that's nothing like losing your dad. I didn't realise how much I'd missed my family til I got home! Not too long til the Easter break though.
What does Will do? Bummer working at christmas, glad your new year was good though And California sounds awesome! Wish I travelled more, I'm just stuck on this little rainy island the whole time :L
