I have no patience for it,but there seems to be no limit on what you can do.

It might take me a day or two to create one single image.
It takes longer if I want to create whole "worlds" like you see in my comic pages.

First you have to model the scene.  You actually create virtual objects, program their properties then set up virtual cameras and lights to create your image.
Then you have to render the scene.  You instruct the computer to actually draw the image out, pixel by pixel.

Modeling can take a day...or a week...or longer...depending on how complex your scenes are.

Rendering an image can take an hour or more.
This depends on how large your final image is.  It depends on how much detail you want your image to have.  It depends on how fast your computer is.

I render at 1500 x 1000 pixels.  I set for medium detail.  I have an 8-core/2.66 GHz computer.

You seem to have good skills with Photoshop.  If you have the interest, I think you can learn to make 3-D.
It isn't hard, per-se, but there are a lot of details to watch out for.

Yes!...  Fur can be hard to get right!
The size, shape, position and color of EVERY SINGLE STRAND must be calculated by the computer!
In my images, there can be SEVERAL MILLION strands of fur!  This can bring even a fast computer to its knees if you aren't mindful of the details!

I use Blender to make my images.  It's totally free and all the documentation is available on line.  There are many forums where people share information about blender.

There is another app called DAZ-3D.  It is free to download and use but the company makes their money selling objects and assets for people to use in their scenes/images.
In other words, it's like buying a printer for cheap then paying out the ass to replenish the ink.

Oh I know exactly the one you're talking about! Definitely glad mine doesn't turn to burlap when I try to move though. I'm too much of a cuddler to stay still when I'm surrounded by something that soft....

I'm in the middle of a project, now, but I can listen to your thoughts. 

I just finished the introduction part of my current project and I am rendering the second part, now.  When that's done, I'll do the comic layout and publish.
I have the third and fourth parts modeled.  Still to render, lay out and publish.
Part five is still inside my head and I might have a sixth part for an ending.  Gotta see how that goes.

It it likes blanketing itself over people when they're relaxing and either snuggling them to sleep or tickling them to various intensities, either until they're laughing hysterically or until they've climaxed so many times that their minds can no longer take it and they pass out in its embrace.

Rendering for the next chapter is about half way done.  Then some quick touch-ups in PS then lay out the pages.  Should be done soon.

I made that avatar so long ago I don't even remember if I have the original files.
Best place to look for it would be Gravatar.  That's where I get it when I need it.
(In other words, it's stored on Gravatar's server then I type in a code to link to it when I need it.)
