I need a beer.....wracking my pea brain on chapter 80 of 'The Hunter'. Why didn't I leave good enough alone? Course Dyke wants me going on chapter 29 of 'Storm Chaser' too luckily those are shorter chappies.
That's what I do on my days off.....write, well my new kilt jacket is on the way finally. It's always something and now the dog's been impersonating a missile and launches himself at you. I hope he grows out of that!

Impressive. I haven't written anything fanfiction in so long because 1) headaches and 2)been doing a lot of writing for school, and that's what wears MY pea brain out.
Anxiety may also have been playing a part.

What Spectre said about me a couple years ago is true, I'm verbose. In the next book the chapters are going to be shorter. I have almost all the back ground in and people I've found will not believe you if there is no reason to and since this thing is going wack I've got to give the readers a reason to believe.

For me, I have to have an arc, and it has to be limited (I know, I know, I haven't written a single story less than a hundred thousand words) but I've seen some stories that just go on meandering - kinda like manga - in which everything, and yet nothing, really happens to the characters.
I'm a traditionalist. Beginning, middle, end.
And if I have more ideas, they become a whole new story.
But...to each his own, and variety and all that.

I am a Kim/Ron tradionalist....mostly. They have been friends forever......I believe that somehow they have to get past being friends to become lovers and sometimes this means seeing other people or just plain time away from each other. Otherwise the relationship may not last. Also I think they have to grow and to do it best means that Kim needs to explore her life without Ron's influence and visa versa.
I also like to work on the minor characters and I think I end up spending most of my time on that. I really liked what I did with Felix, Justine, Big Mike, Tara, Monique and Bonnie in Separate Lives. So usually when I do one of these I just can't stop playing with them while I explore what makes them tick.
Anyway it's a hobby and at least I'm not working this year on Thanksgiving, Linda and Bonk are upstairs working on preparing the dinner while I hide down here in my office.

I was a history major, I mean I have the whole 'The Story of Civilization' by Will Durant (and have real all 11 volumes.....groan). So I like in depth tales. I also enjoy short ones too but I have trouble writing them. Oh Classic Cowboy friended you on FB we were on YIM last night.
