Strong Points: I am an extremely versatile writer. There's little I can't or won't write. I also have a creative imagination to match. This is why I can up with a lot of stories: coming up with a plot and characters come naturally to me, and they will be fleshed out and ready in no time. According to commentary from various places, I seem thrive at fight scenes, exploring the psychology of characters, and putting details in the right places (namely with lemons). Canon or original, you get the best of both worlds from me.
Weak Points: I won't lie, ever since I started writing at age 12, a long battle with saidisms and "Show, Don't Tell" has followed. My writing style can fluctuate from too vague to overly-wordy in the same work. Another shortcoming that I didn't even know I had was perspective or POVs; this is only being recently addressed. I also have a tendency to multi-task too much, resulting in inconsistent update speeds across multiple works. In general, beta readers and editors tend to put me at an "intermediate" level even though I want to be at advanced - that is, my ability and content are certainly above the masses, but the mistakes seen even in my more serious works leave something to be desired. I blame not reading a lot for this.
Allow me to go ahead and clear the waters: I am an OC writer. Always will, always have been. Don't get me wrong, I love the canon characters and their adventures, and I even have several stories planned that feature nothing but good old canon, but for the time being, OC writing is where my heart is. This really should not alter your perception of my as a writer; being an OC writer is not an inherently bad thing, but I can understand where the reservations come from. Trust me, I'm not one of those people. It all boils down to execution, and I try my complete hardest to ensure my execution is reasonable and great.
Now that that's out of the way, let's talk about something... Why do I write? The answer is simple: because I want to. When I started years ago, I didn't expect to become some big shot, not at all. I had simply had many plots, conflicts, and adventures in my mind that I wanted to bring to life. When I play video games, watch anime, and read books, there are some things I notice, some things I want to explore or expound upon. The only problem is that I have so little time each day where I can write. Still, I'll do what I can, as this is what I do. I don't do it for praise or personal glory, and certainly not for wealth (I don't plan on going pro). I do so because I enjoy writing. And I put my stuff on public websites like this so I can receive feedback on how to improve my writing and can become even better.
I'm proud of what I've done and my progress. I'm here to stay whether everybody's fine with that or not. It isn't arrogance or stubbornness, it's pride. I stand by my work, my characters, my stories, and my choice to write completely, and have never regretted it.
