I've been very busy working two jobs at the moment, so yeah, not much time to think really. I will be back to post more though, just when I get some more shots together and life slows up a bit Hope life is well with you too, and hope to see you around a bit more

I hope you are alright I saw the journal which said that you were back from hospital but it was so late that I thought I'd reply the next day!
Keep well rested and all that, I hope you'll be on the mend soon, sounds like you went through quite an ordeal.

No problem! I may do more on your work for 2 reasons: Because I'm new to the whole "dA" critique, I usually just do studio critques, and it's very neat to share an honest opinion directly, rather than in a group of artists.
And reason 2 being; I love Australia and I hope to live there some day. (I know that sounds very far fetched, because it's quite far from my area, but it just made me happy...)
Expect more!
Thanks again for the watch. :]

I've only done 4 critiques before but I really enjoyed doing them and will do more too, I find they are rewarding to yourself, as well as the person they are for. I know how much more effort they are though, so I thank you very muchly, once again
Thats great that you love Australia. We are fairly different down here! Did you come on student exhange or a holiday? What do you like about the place? I live on a farm in South Australia, its very easy for me to like, as I'm into nature and the seasons, as an artist, I guess it goes hand in hand
America, I find has great history (been in love with the North American Indians ever since I was around 7 I think,) used to make tee pee's and my own indian clothes and dress up all the time lol. You make good movies, have some beautiful cities, san francisco for one, I'd love to visit because of the trams, the hills and the good food.. Where abouts in America do you live?

Wow! You're living my dream! I'd hope in my future to live on a farm there! Or, just a small house in the Blue Mountains. Anything away from the city, although Sydney is fantastic! I visited to visit my sister who was there for 6 months, I was there for 3 weeks (now both home). I went to Sydney, Katoomba, Black Heath, and of course, Uluru. I just love the nature there..
Haha, America is certainly interesting. Of course we are generalized as those "Fat war pigs in the North", but hey, we're not all that bad! I love the Native Americans, very nice people.
I live in a small town on Long Island, New York, but I've been to San Fran 3 times. It's all that it's cracked up to be, even more. Especially when you stay out of the touristy areas!(I tried to stay out of the touristy areas in Australia, you get to see, and do so much more...) It's still a bit chilly here in NY...

Yes, the blue mountains are a beautiful spot in Australia, very cold in winter though, I'm a softie, I like warmer weather!
I've never been to Sydney! I've been to Melbourne quite a bit though and thats great, very big though, and Sydney's even bigger. Its a beautiful city though, nothing quite like it on New Years Eve with the fireworks on the harbour and the harbour bridge.
Haha, yeah you do have a bit of a stereotype with the world I think. "power hungry, trigger-happy" also come to mind Of course, most of you are relatively normal And America has some amazing countryside too, I always wanted to see a real tornado after seeing "Twister" when I was young, that seems to have been almost forgotten now, as I think I'd be very very scared..
New York would be freezing still! My Aunt just visited NY over Christmas and spent New Years there too, and loved the place, she wants to go back soon, she misses it so much. It is one city in America (as well as San Fran) that I'd like to visit too.
I've heard that the country side around there is beautiful too.
Avoiding touristy areas is better in any country I think, also helps if you have a friend that lives there so that you can get shown all the spots that locals enjoy and bypass all the tourist spots.

Growing up in New York, I don't mind the cold! As weird as it sounds, I'd be happy in 10 Degrees F in Katoomba, but in New York I'd be miserable. Some kind of trick my mind plays. And yeah, haha. The other stereotype I picked up is that we're known for giving drugs to people who are different to make them "normal". Oh well, at least I bypassed the system..haha.
New York is really nice. The city is interesting, I got kinda sick of it personally. It's very "gray" to me. (Although in the summer it's completely different). There's many places in the Mid-West that are highly underrated. I drove from New York, all the way to Tucson, Arizona. About 3000 Miles (roughly 5,000KM, and man what a site. As you get near the great planes, in states like Oklahoma and Texas, it gets pretty neat. A lot of farms and fields. But when you cross into New Mexico, it gets really exciting. Flat, barren desert, and some hills. The further you go, huge mountains come out of no where. I'd recommend towns and cities like Sacorro (Very small town, but if you want to get a REAL generalization of what Americans are really like, it's the right place), Santa Fe, New Mexico and of course, for the most beautiful mountains in your life, Jackson Hole, Wyoming..It's the most pristine and beautiful place in the U.S IMO... Of course, that's it you plan on making a huge trip too the U.S! This all goes with the avoiding toristy places. You usually won't find many in these places, rather you'd find some bike rides or hiking/camping tours (excellent for photos)..

Yes I can understand why NY may get a little drab for you. I've heard it's freezing and it certainly looks it for part of the year. Summer would be a great time to visit, Central Park would be beautiful in summer, I'll bet, and the weather perfect.
Did you go with anyone for your extremely long road trip? I could never do that all by myself. Fantastic though that you just went on a little adventure and kept on driving that far, sounds great, and the countryside would vary so much, you'd never get bored.
Well thankyou very much for all the travel advice, if I ever decide to visit, I'll be sure to put all those places down on my list

Happy (belated) Birthday!
I'd noticed it said your birthday was coming up for a while in that box next to my messages, and I fully intended to come on and say "happy birthday!" on your actual birthday, but alas, fate was against me and I was thwarted by not visiting DA for more than a second, and not checking my messages unfortunately.
There's my tale of why I'm a day late, Hope you had a great birthday Sarah
