Spottedfire-cat deleted comments on his picture relating to "google" as a verb, so hopefully you won't mind if I post a more condensed response here:
All I can say is that there are so many times I've talked to people and they've told me to "google" it when they could have explained it easily, or worse, they were trying to tell me a point during a political debate. If person X can't keep their sources straight, why should I have to look for it in his or her stead? Was there even a point to begin with?
I suppose you're right, that only applies to Youtube, but using Google's search engine isn't going to give them any ideas to stop what they're doing. Also, other reasons exist such as customer support that takes more than two hours to access. Finally, to be completely honest, I can't find a difference between Google, Bing, or Yahoo (except for externalities like Youtube and such). I think it might just be the brand name.

Maybe if it was like one or two sentences to explain but it's also good to be independant.
Also, back in the day when I started to use google instead, the results were a lot different to me. I can also see a difference between bing and google, it's pretty obvious on the bing vs google thing they did. I haven't used yahoo for a long time so.

The link doesn't really work. xD If the link was on the left hand side of the icon it might work better but quite frankly being on the right puts it in an awkward place no matter what, plus the icon in the messages messes up because of the message background.
