i think you should put up some of your story first so that artists can get an idea of what your looking for in their art. have you tried searching for artists in the manga/anime section?

I'm afraid I have to agree with the person before me, and I also think you should remember that, while you may have time to do this project of yours, others may not be as fortunate. Many artists go to college, hold a job, and do commissions on the side at the same time. Very often they also have social commitments, leaving little time for hobbies, and even less for the demands of strangers.
I don't want to discourage you from trying to do your project on your own, but I can tell you right now that you would have to either pay said money that you don't have, or be very good friends with an artist before they would consider doing something like a comic with you. Good sequential art is time-consuming in the extreme.
I suggest that you establish yourself at this site by leaving useful comments, share your concepts with others, and hope that someone will become interested in the idea. It won't happen right away, but there's a good chance that you'll find someone who can help you if you are open with others about your goals and willing to assist them in reaching their own.

I've been sitting at this monitor since 10:00 am trying to find a artist to collaberate with on a project of mine and still no such luck. I'm looking to form a partnership but, every website I go on to contact a artist they're book solid or want a lot of money that I don't have. You can only dontate blood but, so many times before you pass out and wake up with one less kidney. If anyone reads this which I doubt anyone will but, if someone does and you can do sequential art. meaning you can do comicbook art then-- Don't Be Shy To Reply. I'm the next Rev. jesses jackson

Well I want to be a writer and the best way to start off is either doing manga or comics. I sent one of my first stories to tokyopop, but was rejected. they sent me an e-mail saying they favor towards submissions with artwork, which I'm not that good at and really don't have time to practice. they told me my story was interesting and I could send back in, but I'd have to locate an artist and to send it back in and they may reconsider, but it wouldn't be that easy since I recieved my e-mail in march and now it's june. So I basicly spend most of my day searching through this overwhelming site trying to find a manga artist to collaberate with. you would think it be easy, but its not. some want you to pay expensive amount of money for pages that you can't afford and I understand that some are in college and call only reserve their free time for paying costumers, but if their is a chance they a job maybe in it I think it's worth doing then one $15 commision. I try to do the art myself and even if one of my stories got pick up I would still have to find a artist to do the artwork. I have muscle spazim--- I don't think I spelled it right, but any way, my hands shakes so it's pretty hard for to do the art myself. I rather spend my time practicing right scripts. So until I find a artist my life will just be at a stand still.

I know a person that might be willing to draw for you, but I'd have to ask her, and she isn't online at the moment, but I could ask her tomorrow if you'd like...? She might be willing to do it if there is money from tokyopop when she's don e, but I must warn you... and you must think about this when I say it... she will take over the story... I, myself, have tried to write stories with her, but she always kind of rapes it...
And I think that if you are wanting to write... instead of making a manga, you should try to write a story and submit it into dA, but that is my opinion... and it's your life...

that is alright she's a great artist, but I have to find someone who is at least on their way out of high school. I wouldn't want to affect someones school work, and if it did I would have to find another artist. Do you know of anyone who is around my age?

you can search by keyword on myspace.com it does get a little time consuming, but you can find people. You can search the forums, which may be a better choice or just type in artist or cartoonist in the search myspace, like i said it can be very time consuming.
have you seen the work by Apatha7, her work looks something along the lines you need.
I just saw her stuff today.
I will keep my ears peeled at school for anyone that may know someone.

No I was only joking about the san farn. I'm on the otherside of the otherside PA, but it really doesn't matter what state their in and I guess it doesn't matter its going to be time consuming since I already spent two months looking for artist on this site why try another. though I am getting abit restless wouldn't have thought it would be so hard to find an artist. I'm already fustrated so searching on another site isn't really changing my mood. everthing is just at a stand still.
