Heyy, how you going? x3
I know it's been a while and we didn't talk that often, but
I couldn't help but wonder how you've been : D

Cathode is where reduction occurs!!!! It's being reduced by gaining electrons, and remember, electrons are negative!!!! Just think of the cathode as being grumpy cat, becoming even more reduced (think negative = grumpy) with lots of electrons!!! And this is always true for both volatic and electrolytic cells!!!
However in voltaic cells, the cathode is confusingly enough considered positive, but just think that voltaic cells is when grumpy cat is having a positive day!!! Β Voltaic = happy!
And then it's just the opposite for electrolytic cells where the cathode is considered negative = grumpy cat is having a bad day!!! Β Electrolytic = sad!

ACID RAIN ;-; Pls come on the exam.
2NO2 + H2O β> HNO3 + HNO2
Wannabe non-identical twins:
HNO3 = nitric acid
HNO2 = nitrous acid
H2SO4 = sulfuric acid
H2SO3 = sulfurous acid

Hello, thanks for the hug! :,) Is there anything you wanted to say?
PS: I'm sorry about Scotland... I was so excited for you when I saw your journal... That's really inconsiderate of them to give you the job and have you travel so far to even get there and then immediately kick you out before you even got the chance to begin... I hope you're not too sad...;n; Have a hug back

Just I hope your exams are going well/have gone well.Β
it's a bit of a bummer, but I'm not that sad about it, Arran was a lovely place and I'll probably go back for a proper holiday when I have the money, but the work just wasn't for me, looks like I can't handle being in a busy kitchen. I think I'm going to apply for jobs in my town from now on.Β

MADI IT'S NOT TIME TO FALL ASLEEP NOW, TIME TO HYPER UP AND STUDY!!!!!
CELLULLAR RESPIRATION BEGINS WITH GLYCOLYSIS WHICH OCCURS IN THE CYTOSOL AND DOES NOT REQUIRE OXYGEN: THE INGREDIENT IS A HEXOSE SUCH AS GLUCOSE AND THIS MOLECULE IS CONVERTED INTO TWO PYRUVATE
THEN THE PYRUVATE MOVES INTO THE MATRIX OF A MITOCHONDRION TO UNDERGO THE LINK REACTION WHERE THE PYRUVATE IS DECARBOXYLATED INTO ACETYL COENZYME A, RELEASING 2 CARBON DIOXIDE MOLECULES AND RESULTING IN THE REDUCTION OF 3 NICOTINAMIDE ADENINE DINUCLEOTIDE (NAD)
IN THE KREBS CYCLE WHICH ALSO OCCURS IN THE MATRIX OF MITOCHONDRIA ACETYL COENZYME A BINDS WITH A 4-CARBON COMPOUND AND SOME ATP IS PRODUCED
NEXT REDUCED NAD AND FAD MOVE TO THE CRISTAE OF THE MITOCHONDRION AND ELECTRONS FROM THESE CARRIERS MOVE THROUGH THE ELECTRON TRANSPORT CHAIN, CAUSING PROTONS TO BE PUMPED AND ACCUMULATE IN THE INTERMEMBRANE SPACE- THE RESULTING PROTON GRADIENT CAUSES PROTONS TO DIFFUSE BACK INTO THE MATRIX DOWN THE CONCENTRATION GRADIENT VIA ATP SYNTHASE (THIS IS CALLED CHEMIOSMOSIS), AND MOVEMENT OF PROTONS THROUGH ATP SYNTHASE RESULTS IN THE PRODUCTION OF YOU-KNOW-IT........
ATP!!!!!!!!! THE GOAL OF LIFE!!!!!!!!!!! 8DDDDDDD
also PLZ REMEMBER: OXYGEN IS THE FINAL ELECTRON ACCEPTOR AND THAT IS LITERALLY THE ONLY REASON WHY OXYGEN IS NEEDED IN CELL RESPIRATION, ALL THOSE SIMPLIFIED TEXTBOOKS FROM SCHOOL MAKE all this feel like a total LIE
I MEAN SERIOUSLY, DOES OXYGEN HAVE _THAT_ OF A SMALL ROLE?????
WHY DOES NO ONE TALK ABOUT NAD AND FAD??????
THOSE ARE EQUALLY AS IMPORTANT BUT THEN EVERYONE JUST TALKS ABOUT OXYGEN? DDDD8 GIVE NAD AND FAD SOME LOVE TOO THEY KEEP US ALIVE MMMMMMMMM

REMEMBER THAT MUSCLE FIBERS CONSIST OF MYOFIBRILS WHICH AGAIN CONSIST OF SARCOMERES WHICH AGAIN HAVE THICK MYOSIN FILAMENTS AND THIN ACTIN FILAMENTS
IT BEGINS WITH A NERVE IMPULSE FROM A MOTOR NEURON WHICH CAUSES THE SARCOPLASMIC RETICULUM TO RELEASE CALCIUM IONS
THEN THOSE CALCIUM IONS BIND TO TROPONIN WHICH CAUSES TROPOMYOSIN TO MOVE AND EXPOSE ACTIN BINDING SITES
THEN MYOSIN HEADS BIND TO THOSE BINDING SITES FORMING A CROSS-BRIDGE WITH ACTIN
THEN ATP BINDS TO THE MYOSIN HEAD AND UNDERGOES HYDROLYSIS INTO ADP + INORGANIC PHOSPHATE
THE ENERGY RELEASED FROM ATP CAUSES THE MYOSIN HEAD TO COCK/CHANGE ANGLE, WHICH SENDS THE ACTIN FILAMENT TOWARDS THE MIDDLE OF THE SARCOMERE
THIS CAUSES THE SARCOMERE TO BECOME SHORTER, RESULTING IN MUSCLE CONTRACTION
REMEMBER IT
IMAGINE IF IT WILL COME ON THE EXAM
YOU CAN DO IT YOU BUTT (WHY AM I TALKING TO MYSELF)
