Haytham was born in England in the year 1725, as the second child to the Assassin Edward Kenway and his second wife Tessa Kenway. Unbeknownst to him, Haytham was trained to become an Assassin by his father from an early age. During this time, Haytham was trained to use a sword, despite barely being 6 years old. He was also encouraged to think for himself, and dispute others' opinions. On his eighth birthday, Haytham's family was walking home from a trip to a restaurant, when they were attacked by a mugger. Reginald Birch, who was also with them, threatened to kill the man, whose attempt to rob Tessa of her necklace had failed. However, he was dissuaded by Edward Kenway. When Haytham returned home that day, Edward asked Haytham whether he thought that the thief should have been allowed to go free, and when Haytham said that he did think so, he was presented with a steel short sword, which he later used in his life as a Templar.# Comments
