What's wrong about being crazy?

Well it's a industrial age bases fantasy story/world of mine that I contantly work, draw scenes and characters from, or occasionally write on, all my inspiration and ideas for drawing come from there (except for the celtic/norse knotwork stuff)

The world itself has some quite dystopian and dark elements sometimes nightmarish -> alptraum
also I'm always diving down into my fantasies before falling asleep... so it's just really fitting : P

but gotta say, ur knotworks are just great, i tried a few times to draw some but pfff.. scheißschwierig xD so i'll try to learn how to do em with ur tutorials

Oh I have already done a lot, and also work on many things from this and am flooded with too many ideas.

With knotwork it's just important to keep practising, improve the cleanness of the lines and just get used to it. And I hope my tutorials are helpful to you.

hey, just don't give up if it's notr working at the first attempt
these were my early works that didn't look like shit, and you can see that it improoved so much, well but it actually took years to get to the level I am now

wow! it will take some time till i get to draw sth like that.. but i wont give up i guess i just gotta get used to draw sth that aint a face or a female body xD ^^

i like the letters a lot, they would fit great in a medieval script ^^ n the knotwork in the middle and the one in the lower right corner *-* awesome! the dragons are pretty cool too, but krass if i get to draw that xD way too hard to start ^^'

yesterday i was looking for some more info bout the styles n stuff, just fell in love with the urnes style, i like that mix of thick n thin knots n the animals, pretty beautiful n for tatts is just perfect

Btw, Srry if sometimes i make some mistake bout styles n stuff, im just kinda new in this theme even if i loooove it ^^'

It is also helpful to start by copy-drawing knotwork to get a feeling for the styles
I am , for example, drawing a lot of ancient Mammen style knotwork at the moment (Cammin Casket), and tada... I'm good at this style now... ;D
I also started with copying celtic knots from a book (many years ago), becaue I just liked them and thought they were beautiful and in the last two years it has become kind of an obsession.

if it helps to distinguish the styles, I have made a little comparison for the 4 styles I am/was drawing, it's one year old and I would do it different and better now but...

If I was ever getting a tattoo I only could imagine something knotty, but my problem is I could never decide what I wanted, so I'm just designing them for other people who aren't as picky as I am

Yesterday i started practising with ur tutorials, with the easy knots and it's quite helpful cuz i can check every doubt there, but tried the animals too, and they are just stressing.. i was drawing one n right after i asked myself which damn animal is this?? xD mostly cuz in the Urnes style, animals are kinda ambiguous, at least for me, not like in the Insular, style for example, there i could say it's a dog xDD i'll just try with simple knots/animal to get used before i try with sth harder ^^' but well thought, none of 'em is really harder than the other untill u add details xDD
The Mammen style is cool, but it must be hard as fuck with all those details and circles and all compacted, oder? btw ur Cammin Casket drawings are great! :3
 
Yeah already checked it n it helps me a lot to distinguish every style's shapes :3 it's great too btw, but yeah, i know the probs of being a perfectionist ^^ i just stopped postin stuff here cuz i dont like almost any of my drawings cuz i see mistakes everywhere, everytime i look at 'em, and the ones u can see there are quite old or just school jobs, not even the stuff i usually draw..

hihi that's why i dont have any knotwork tattooed yet, i know (more or less xD) what i want, but the ideas are still in my mind n dunno yet how to do it on a paper or a few, cuz it wont be little or just one tatt xD But well, it must be, not perfect but good enough.. and that will take some time xDD
