I'm like mega proud of the art style you created tho! it's so original :')! and life's been a hectic one, with junior year and a hot mess of other things, looking into art schools and other such things,life being, well, LiFE, i haven't really had time for anything eheh. aaah thanks a bunch, I try to make my art and characters as unique and original as I can, and im glad that you took notice ^^ and omg I know how you feel, junior year is probably the hardest when it comes to high school, they like to challenge you a lot and it sucks tbh, but at least you have senior year to look forward too! as for me, im about to end my first semester in college on the 13th of December, so right now im studying for finals and everything ^^' im also trying to improve on y shading and environment when it comes to drawing, but ive been so busy between school and work that I hardly get a chance to draw as often as I used too. at least once the semester ends, i'll have more free time ;D

Ah I'm glad you recognized my icon!!! :0 I've been doing well! For the last two years I've been working at Cat Haven, so I got to be around lions, tigers, servals, etc! It was a blast. I had to leave work this July to go to college. I'm finishing up my first semester and already enrolled for my second. It's been pretty hectic, not gonna lie. Studying for Wildlife Management and Conservation (my major) is tough, but interesting! I haven't been drawing as often as I used to because of how busy life is! When I do have the free time, I just play on my Nintendo Switch or talk to friends in discord. I'm not active on dA, I'm typically more active with twitter, Instagram, and discord. (Tumblr I'm trying to become active again but it's hard).Β

I'm so happy for you!! Sounds like you had a fun time working at Cat Haven, and I couldn't agree more on the fact that college is hectic. I just started my first year this year and balancing college along with work takes up most of my week, so that's why I dont post as often as I used to. My major is writing but I really wanna switch it to either art or culinary since both of those things interest me more tbh. I got a car recently and I'm taking my driver's test on the 15th, so I'll have a lot more freedom on where I go and who I go with. But it's so nice to see you're doing well for yourself

Time flies, and I've always found it crazy how fast it goes and how people grow up. Like, just the other week I told Slendy happy birthday, and they turned 18! I remember I was in elementary school when I befriended them! It makes me feel old and wish for times to be simpler, but I do enjoy how my life is currently! I'm 10-12 hours away from family, so I have freedom do to things on my own. I'm still trying to find work up here at my college, it's a small town so there's not many options. I do always have Cat Haven to fall back on during my breaks though so it's nice (They told me to go down to help during breaks c: ).
Also it's not too late to change majors! College is the time to experiment with yourself, and you get to figure out what you like and don't like! So if you get the feeling of wanting to change, go for it! It's also easier to take the GEs first so you don't get too immersed into the less desired major. I wish I had a car, I can drive but the cars are back at home :'0 so I have to take buses or Uber/Lyft to places. Good luck on your driving test! I'm sure you'll get that license!!Β
It's good to hear from you too! Are the old buds still active here? I'm still in touch with two of them through phone. I'd like to reach out to others as well ^^

aah Thanks for the encouragement about switching majors! I always end up doubting myself when thinking about it and it's nice to have someone to back you up with those types of decisions, and thank you for wishing me luck on the driving test! As far as I know, only Alick is still active on here, but she doesn't post as much as she used to. Dirk and Bolty both quit dA a few months ago, but Dirk sometimes visits again to post a bunch of art. But ya me and Alick are the only ones left on dA ^^'

ye life has been changing a lot for me too, I got a part time job recently and im getting ready for college towards the end of august, so its been pretty hectic lately ^^'

ooo nice!! what are you majoring in? i'm trying to focus on getting jobs and internships in art - my teacher's been helping me out with that too. she got the city commission me to illustrate a children's book for a public event and now she's working on finding me internships! and i'm going to work on actually building a proper portfolio this year so i'm super excited.

holy shit that's awesome! im super happy you got so much going for you, and you should post pictures of the children's book so I can check it out too! I honestly do hope you get an internship for art though, it would be great to be making a career doing the one thing you love tbh. right now im majoring in writing but I plan on switching my major into art or communications, I like writing but most of the time it gets so tedious and difficult, especially when I lack motivation.

thank you!! i am definitely trying to make sure i get some sort of internship or job in art/animation as soon as possible, and i'm totally up for moving for a job if needed because i'm determined to get myself out there. it's something i've wanted to do since i was little, so i've had a lot of planning for it lol
oooh that sounds great!! i love to write on the side, although i feel like i do pretty poorly with longer stories. like, my perfect length for writing is with short stories and just really short books, which is why i plan on expressing my own stories through animation + video games since i feel those formats work best for me. i totally get the tediousness of it, and that's partially why i couldn't major in it myself lol. that sounds awesome, though!! i'm sure you'll do amazing!

holy shit I just checked it out and it looks fucking amazing??? like the shading, the expressions, and the backgrounds especially are all perfection, and I think its perfect for a children's book tbh!!! and honestly that's great that you're willing to move to a different place for a job opportunity, ive always been afraid of taking risks like that for the longest time to that's something I need to work on omf
and I completely understand about struggling with writing long stories, sometimes describing everything that's going on in a story without visuals is really difficult, which is why Im trying to figure out how to do my backgrounds and poses better because I wanna do comics instead of just writing consistently.

I just finished reading it today, and holy shit dude, you're really skilled at writing in first person!! im sorry it took me a while to read it all, ive been pretty busy with work and college stuff, but I really enjoyed reading this! I like how the reader can see how Meero's train of thought slowly starts to decay and turn into self hatred. it feels really realistic, and sometimes its hard to find that in first person POV stories.
