Decided that I will start corseting. Not to the wasp waist extreme though. Just a few inches off my size.
Corseting is basically the only body modification that my mom seems to be okay with. And I think that it will look nice with my vintage dresses.
Been looking up videos and pictures all day as well as information. I'm actually pretty excited about it. Apparently it's not harmful to the body as long as you take it slow and don't go through such extremes. The effects are also reversible if you don't wear it for long. Like if I wear it for two hours and then take it off my waist will go back to normal right away. Though if I keep the corset on for days it will permanently change my body shape over time.
I'm a bit terrified about it because a lot of people are against corseting so I'm afraid that I'll attract a lot of drama/become a turn off. But I don't care. I'm doing it >:C

As long as it's not dangerous, I say go for it. Also, as long as it doesn't make your boobs look like missiles (I've seen this, it's weird), I say go for it too.
I've always been fascinated by corseting, but I've never wanted to try it simply because I like having the curves I have (Except for my gut, I totally need to get rid of that).
And the people that are against it are probably the ones who see the women with the crushed rib cages and tiny, tiny, inhumanly tiny waists.

Yeah, probably because of the fact that women back in the day would sometimes even pass out because of how tight their corsets were. But I won't go through such extremes (personally I think that a 17" waist looks very unnatural and creepy. Like... [link] ouch)
I actually looked at that girl's blog, the one from the above picture. And she claims to be fine. But she says that she has been doing this very gradually and for a long time. I also checked an interview with Cathie Jung (smallest waist on a live person) and her husband (who is a doctor)says that she is perfectly healthy.
Obviously I'm not going to go to such extremes. But I'm guessing that that means that I should be fine as long as I go slooowww.
