.:Finishing A Novel Guide:.~Getting Finished~
β’ This is the complimentary other half to my βStarting A Novelβ guide. Lots of people tell you how to start books but don't give much info on how to finish them. Starting a project is really easy but sticking through it once you realize what all it takes to finish it, you might not stick around. Hereβs hoping you do. Writing a novella is basically the same, just shorter in length.
β’ CHAPTERS: When writing its best to just go and not stop until you run out of inspiration. Once youβre done with some wave of inspiration you can look back on the chunk of text you just wrote and separate it up into chapters if itβs long enough.
o Length: I notice a lot of books these days make chapters way WAY too long. Itβs tedious and a bore, plus itβs harder to push through and be prolific if youβre already weeks into your book and think youβve only finished two chapters. So! Your chapter should never exceed 6,000 words.

I think it had good meaning though, and when I say flow I mean that it also flows nicely as a story. It seems like the person speaking through it is going through something rough but beautiful like a moment of clarity.Β

I know what you mean specifically, I was just talking generally.
It has been good to see what constructions different people have put on the piece. Β It was written as a reaction to a specific situation, but I've been glad to see it being re-interpreted by people who had no idea who Balthazar was and what he had been doing.
