I use Paint-tool SAI, Thats where I draw and colour,

I then use Photoshop CS3 to edit the layout and touch up the colour,

Aww man. I guess I'd better go tell my boyfriend he was right. I was all stubborn and said the program that came with my tablet would be sufficient enough. Lucky me he made me install both SAI and photoshop.

Damn I'm a butt.

How long did it take you to get the hang of using each program?

Photoshop isnt really used for drawing, its more used for touching stuff up, I think a few tutorials could help you,

SAI is a little more tricky, It took me a while to get use to it, It took me around 2 months to get good with SAI, I still am not the best with it...

Just trust yourself and it should work out A-OK.

I understand! Some of the tools don't really behave the way I would expect
and there are others that I have no idea what to use them for! It's nutso.
But I suppose only practice and time will help me in the long run.

Oh, does it? I've been having such a hard time adjusting to it. It's weird looking at the screen rather than at my hand. How do you get your lines to look so damn rounded and singular?

I would try doing simply drawing exercises to try and get adjusted to it...

I know its pretty shitty doing all the babyish stuff but its a good way to adjust. Keep focused on the screen and it will become easier,

I remember when I got a tablet, I was using mouse to draw on paint, I was debating just giving up on the tablet completely, but it will be worth it in the end...c:

I would save it as a SAI file until I am finished with my picture,

Once finished, I would save it again as a PNG, The PNG one is the one to upload but be careful, PNG looks better but the file size of the picture will go up, if you want a smaller file size, save it in JPEG
