Self expression. Maybe it means that I seek to place my thoughts, feelings, and opinions within an arena, where I can challenge what is considered to be the norm, while at the same time conveying these same thoughts to an audience.

I can't really say what self expression means on a personal level, as I don't really focus that much on myself. When I write though, I feel in my natural state, and I can use it to reach a sort of catharsis. I can build worlds, argue, create persona's, and can explore ideas, without having to actually internalize these ideas as part of my beliefs and personal values.

In short, writing, and creative expression, are things that allow me to do things which simply aren't possible in the real world, or won't be readily accepted.
