Eeeeee thank you so much, Ribbons! I had a wonderful day today, filled with both chores and good times with friends. (Hey, oil changes and new cabin air filters are important!) My roomie and I met up with two of my Comics Night friends for an early dinner downtown, then hung out at Powell's browsing books. Above 60 degrees today and sunny! Had a FaceTime chat with my friend Kat, talked with my folks, and then had an epic hour-long conversation with my brother. <3

Thank YOU for being there for me, too. I love being able to share my stories with friends who are so passionate about worldbuilding - such as yourself! Even just having someone to listen to the odd complaint here and there - it makes such a difference knowing I have friends I can turn to wherever I go. And I want to jump back into sharing Brainsick again, and more of my head worlds in general. I want to inspire again, more consistently, as I've been inspired by your Aman5 work. Ohohoh and my birthday was pretty nice, just laid back and calm. A bit stressful (but kinda exciting) only because it's time for me to retire my poor old 1997 Buick Park Avenue; looking to get a new used car soon. I've been driving that boat for over seven years: it was a gift from my grandparents, who had traveled the States and Mexico with it. So many awesome memories with this car. Hard to say goodbye, but I know it's for the best. *puts on a brave face*

Aaaaaayou're so welcome Jillian! It's pretty cool having your birthday here at the beginning of the year... you get to start the year off fresh, in more ways than one! Hopefully this year we'll have plenty of time to relax and treat ourselves well, after the past few years of hard work. In it together, and I'm eternally thankful for that.

Oh nooo! Gosh I'm so sorry to hear that you're having to retire your old car though! Give her a warrior's funeral... or at least keep a bolt or two to keep. A few years ago D and I had to sell our old Dodge Venture (which was for a time even our home), so I know the feeling. Funny how cars can hold memories like that, huh? ;; Those Park Avenues are one-of-a-kind, hehe. Any idea what you're going to be getting next?

That's a good way to think about it: starting fresh. Sometimes I need positive reminders like that. <333 I want to take life as it comes while maintaining my artsy-ness.  WE CAN DO IT. I plan on attending Rose City Comic Con again as an exhibitor in September, and I want to show at a one-day event my friends are hosting at their comics cafe in August. Slowly but surely, I'll build up my con list. 

I BOUGHT A NEW CAR TODAY. I'M STILL GEEKING OUT OVER IT. It's a 2014 Kia Rio5 LX with only 15k miles. I found it last night on Carmax's mobile app, and my aunt spotted the same car this morning before we met up at the dealership. And wow, I can scarcely imagine how it must have felt for you and D to sell your Venture. That's tough. *more hugs*

I did keep a couple important items from ol' Butler: I transferred the license plates! I took one last photo of Butler 'fore I said goodbye; surprised by how emotional I got over it. ;__; The one thing I'd forgotten to grab was this little CD holder for the visor; drove back and picked it up a few hours ago. (Should have grabbed the steering wheel cover too, haha!)
