The emoticons can be seen when you write a journal, if you want to see the selection..
but mainly you have to do this.. : boogie : put put the dots together ^^' Like this
orrr like : XD : =

No, you cant drag and drop...
just add : before and after any word...
When you reply, look under your writing..theres a lil link that says emoticons..click on it and see the variaty
