thanks again for the comment on -ripple- noticed you are interested in cell shading and aspects of sci-fi that are so relevant to geekdom...was curious if you had ever heard of a
flash animation series from 2000(ish) called Broken Saints. Β it was produced in Canada one chapter at a time and took over four years to complete and takes 14 hours to watch from start to finish...and made available online for free (although donations were politely encouraged they were fine if you could not contribute...but most people did)Β it's hard to describe this series since it blends so many things together although there are aspects that seem a bit forced especially when political or aspects of faith are concerned but one of the more interesting things about it is the art used for it . they eventually released a DVD in 2001 with top voice acting (many from anime and one from the X-files) and won at Sundance that year:

they are inexplicably drawn from various parts of the world towards each other and howΒ their journey begins... each chapter is unique and there are many nods to other movies in them...
a few are unnerving but that's just my opinion ...

the voice acting alone is very haunting... while it may not make a lot of sense watching it since it is so far into the series it's still pretty amazing especially the last few seconds ofΒ dialogue

you're very welcome...the series narrative is good and very unique. but a few things within it are very political and favor a particular mindset which i do not share
and the actions of some of the players (mostly the minor and secondary ones) are rather objectionable (these are obvious once seen)Β the soundtrack is still one of the best
