There's all too little Honorverse art out there! I was glad to see some new (to me) stuff!
I should mention (or should that be warn?) that and I are brothers, and I've moved back to Michigan. Upon reading your conversation with him about exactly how the battle you described might have gone down, I came up with a variant that I want to sit down with him and game out; the Peeps detach their light units to go kill the merchies, and then the BCs try and generate the vectors to intercept the convoy escort. It would kind of depend on their relative vectors and positions when the Peeps picked up the Manty warships, granted, but if the Peep BCs could generate that vector to intercept the Manty escort ships, and if the merchies were trying to break straight out across the hyper limit, it's possible.
Where's my nav computer when I need it? Have to try and work this out by hand...

Hmm, interesting scenario. I got to admit I'm dubious as to weather the BCs would be likely to actually attempt to engage the convoy escort themselves, if only because they've got bigger fish to fry (namely the system fixed defences, where ever they are, and the picket). Then again, commanders on the spot have been known to do all sorts of things.
