lol I used to use paint all the time, now when I go back to it I'm always staring at the screen wondering what to do

Gimp was a good program! Although I now use Paint Tool SAI. Lol Paint just stank. lol

I had paint Tool Sai, but my Laptop decided to break, I have to use the Desktop now, which only has Gimp. I liked Sai alot better, mainly because it was really easy to do lines. I have to use the Paths tool on Gimp which is a MAJOR pain lol.

You can still install it on another computer if you remember your license thingy... I liked gimp, however it kept downloading viruses on the computer. :/ But If I still had it, I'd use it on my BG's, and shading probably...

As much as I love Sai, I can't seem to make a decent BG on there ( have no idea how everyone else can do it ._.)so I always did that in Gimp.

I agree with you. Gimp was better at bg's..... SAI isn't as good at that stuff. Gimp was like a cheeper version of a photoshop.....

Yeah, Gimp is basically a PS knockoff, although I like PS, I probably wouldn't buy it cause I have Gimp xP
I do want to get Sai again though, It's better at Line art and Coloring.

Yeah... I am saving up for a CS3-4-5.. I really want it. lol It will pry make me feel as good as Akreon, Tanathe, Avyris and Kaylink... lol They all have PSCS's.... CS3-5 in my opinioun, is the best PS. Some animators (professional) use that to actually make there characters!

CS3 is a great program. I would buy it, but I SUCK at saving money xD The things people can do in that program are just freaking amazing. The lines look nice and clean.(I love clean lines, if you haven't noticed lol)

Yes it is! I stink at saving too. lol I think it might be a good idea for me to just buy it, then slowly pay it off. lol I pry would use SAI for the lining, and coloring, and then use CS3 for the bg, shading, etc....

CS3 does make some nice BGs. The one thing I wish GIMP had is the Grass brush. I can download one, but it wouuld be SO much easier f it just came with it
