# About me

SOME THINGS THAT I BELIEVE:
The whole world is ridiculously awesome! Even the ugly places have worth.
Rainbow Chard is a vegetable of heavenly beauty.
Horses and humans share a special bond, if only because there's nowhere else for the horses to go.
Equality is paramount. All humans are equal. Nazis are people also, but they probably shouldn't hang out with me.
All languages are equally beautiful, but not all accents are equally sexy.
We should all get off our computers sometimes and read. Ebooks are an exception.
The most important factor in the continuing success of human civilization is compromise!
Salmon is really tasty. ALSO HUMMUS.
Real communism sounds awesome but can never exist. Other people who shouldn't hang out with me: people who think the Soviet Union was "not that bad".
Hairy chests are handsome and pettable, not gross.

OTHER THINGS ABOUT ME:
I used to think I liked Japanese guys. Then I hit puberty and started thinking Eastern Europeans are hottest. So now my mom is worried that I'm going to marry an alcoholic. Stereotypes ahoy!
I have literally no taste in music at all. If you ever hear someone unashamedly and loudly singing the absolute worst of Lithuanian pop from a balcony near Chicago somewhere, yeah, you found me.
I'm probably majoring in international relations, or linguistics, or Slavic languages and literatures. We'll see.
I am a caricature of myself.

I don't really do things here anymore, but if I find scanners or get brave enough to publish writing, it'll be here.

Hey good miss,Β

I just wanted to thank you for not only reading my admittedly quite dark and dense work in Graffiti Dreams in Black and White , but also for letting me know that it connected with you on some level with the favorite.Β

As a writer, such a response from a reader is of the highest of honors, and I'm humbled to receive it, fair lass.

Thank you and all the best.

Not really . . . I'm in absolute beginner Russian right now.

Haha, I'm quite the novice myself, actually. I was just curious. I took it for a few years in elementary school and I'm learning it in school currently, so I know enough to hold a conversation and (hopefully) find my way around a Russian city (though I'm sure there'd be bumps along the way; utter culture shock for one... ) In other words, I'm just above my grade level, but I'm in no way fluent. Either way, it was nice to make your acquaintance!

Nice to make your acquaintance as well!

Haha, there's no chance I could make it around in a Russian city. I've studied the culture a lot, but the language is totally new to me. You're lucky to have learned some of it so young!

Lucky, indeed! My neighborhood is mainly Russian (well, more so in the past than now; only the older residents are Russian these days), so my school (which was also very small, mind you) starting teaching Russian at first grade. I was lucky enough to take it until third grade, but then our school merged with a much larger district. Unfortunately, we lost our Russian program, but it was offered for six weeks or so in 6th grade. I picked it back up in middle school, and here I am today! I'm not great, but starting so young really helps with pronunciation and things of the like. I apologize for being so long-winded, especially since most of this information was completely trivial, but I get so excited about speaking. Russian is such an interesting language, as is the culture. It's just so great!

No problem. I like hearing stories. I see now why your elementary school taught you Russian. Are you of Russian descent yourself? I'm not, although my grandparents on my mom's side did meet in Moscow (both working for the US government).

Haha, no, but I'd sure be proud if I were. The Russian culture is so rich. A close friend of mine is Russian Orthodox so I'm exposed to a few small traditions they still carry. That's interesting they met in Moscow! My brother (who's nearly fluent now and in high school) will be taking part in our school's exchange program next year and we'll be hosting a Russian student in our home for 2 weeks. I seriously can't wait for that! On a side note, I was notified today that I will represent my school in a statewide speaking competition. I'm so excited!

Hey, so, I forgot about this conversation . . . but anyway, have fun with the exchange student! And I hope the contest goes/went well.

No, you aren't alone! There are lots of people who hate them. I'm not exactly an anti-color-over crusader, but I express my opinion when I see them.

It's just so frustrating when it takes a million years from the dA staff to remove stolen art and all that. But I do report a lot :I Sometimes if I'm bored I may look for color overs so I coud report them. I may need a life.
