just wondering... see im not good at drawing anime although i try xD it's my newly adopted art style. and my first steps to drawing people, im trying to draw portraits and stuff, and studying anatomy, it's funny because i don't even watch anime/ read manga :/ i just liked the style really i have only seen 2 animes and i haven't even finished them and i haven't watched any episodes in a while.

Oh really?? working your way up I see?? haha, well you'll need to crawl before you can run... or so my uncle told me when he (as he puts it) borrowed me his sketching pencils on a permanent basis XD lol, I've seen quite a few anime's that drew my fancy, 'Hellsing' and my all time personal favourite 'Speed Grapher' are just 2 of the few that I saw. but as you will find out drawing anime/manga and portraits differ in technique, I found that out and my pittiful attempt can be seen as my 'self portrait'. Anyway, as I said, I'll be more than happy to help where I can, don't hesitate to ask

well, trying to... my brother complains that i draw anime too much and he says it's annoying although he watches anime way more than i do. makes no sense. :/ i guess watching anime and reading manga will help me imrpove but i just still don't lol idk why it's not that i hate it. yeah they do.. as you can see in one of my newer deviation i attempted to draw some lady out of my head and her eye is too bit and misplaced. lol.

That is odd... well it might help to give you hints as to where certain parts of the face/ anatomy will sit and how proportional it should be, example you can't have a slender figure and then give the character mile wide hips and a head that looks more like a truck tire. anyway, I checked out your drawing and the proportion of where the eye sits and the general look of the character actually reminds me of a very good friend of mine (not lying here though) and here's the trick with faces, no matter how hard you try, you won't get it perfect, nature isn't perfect, but it's the imperfections that make it good so personal thought.... excellent pic, I'll be all too glad to have your talent in facial sketches.

Yes, I do like it to be honest, but why the surprise?? it looks really good. haha, well yes that I read in your description, but I really mean that she looks similar (not exactly alike though) to my friend. Still, very good drawing.
