# About me
Hello :3 I'm Holly, 22 years old, gay, short and of the 'cuddly' stature!(: I live in Wales in the UK.I'm the only girl in a family of four, with two older brothers who are twins and one younger brother. My family have always been creative. My two older brothers are brilliant at drawing and painting, my mum makes jewellery, cards for all occasions and the odd vintage item and my younger brother is really good with home décor suggestions and accessories. I've often felt like the odd one out because I don't have a specific talent for art of any kind but I do dabble in writing, card making, jewellery making, amateur photography and drawing.
I love animals, particularly dogs and penguins and have obtained a qualification in Animal Care.
I really enjoy beautiful scenery and nature, it really inspires me and I love to take photographs when in its presence. Unfortunately, I don't own any professional cameras, tripods or anything like that, so my photographs are usually either snapped on a camera phone or a cheap low quality camera. I'm not very tech-y either so my photographs won't be edited amazingly. if at all.
I would like to get back into drawing and writing as I kind of pushed them aside due to college but hopefully, with some free time, I'll be able to work towards improving my abilities.
I think that's it for now, please feel free to ask any questions, I'll always be willing to answer and learn from the wonderful world of dA! (:

Of course not my dear fellow... oops! 'Twas merely a metaphorical pat on the head, like thus .
Anyway. I'm supposed to be teaching you to draw like some kind of drawing god, aren't I? You know... I think my memory is getting worse.

Ohh okay, I understand! A pat on the head is always good! Thank you very much, Sir! :3 (Just so you know, i'm probably going to be in the habit of calling you Sir now!)
You are but if you are too busy, please don't worry about it! I'm ready when you are able!
Ugh, don't even talk about memory! Mine's absolutely terrible!
I see you have a rat residing with you?! A rather smart one too by the sound of it! We also get mice and the occasional rat in our outside alley-way. I think people assume that because we have little Sammy, that a rat or mouse would cause us no trouble as he would be able to snout it out but as beautiful as he is, Sammy is not the snouter-catcher kind of dog, he's just as afraid of vermin as my mother is, bless 'em! Do update me about when the rat is caught!

Holly, Holly, Holly.
Thank you for fav'ing my boring little tree pictures!
And I see from your wonderful new ID thingy up there that you like a bit of scenery, and I'm sure that if my (boring) forests were real Little Sammy would enjoy them too, yuckity yuck. You might have noticed I'm just a bit hyper at the moment. Chemical imbalance and I forgot to take my scrummy meds today... must get onto that right away!
Anyway. Being serious for a moment, good profile you've written there, and if you want any tips on having a go at throwing a forest picture together to show off to your talented bro's, let me know okay?

You're very welcome for the favs! I really don't think they're boring! They're so cute! (:
Oh yes, loves a bit of scenery, me! I have no doubt that Sammy would love to roam about in your little forest! (That sounds a wee bit dodgy but I'm sure you get what I meant!)
I think hyper is good!(: Speaking of, I was so eager to reply to your sweet comment that I managed to knock over a glass of squash -.- Oops!
Aww, thank you kindly!
I would definitely like to have a go at drawing the old forestry, just need to scour my room for a good pencil and wait for my flu to let up, lest the forest be covered in sneezies!!
Since my bro's are more into drawing people, I think trees would make a lovely change! (:
Thanks again!

Well you let me know when you are... well. I really didn't want to start AND end that sentence with "well", but, there you go. And we'll show those brother's of yours a thing or two, right?
I hope you didn't spill your drinkie into the keyboard. I spilled coffee into mine two and a half weeks ago, and now when I press "T" (ironically, as it was coffee I spilled), sparks fly out!
Ha, yeah, "forest". I'll have to think of a new word to avoid trouble... "wood"... no, that's no good either... possibly even worse. Eek. The curse of the double-meaning.
And don't let the sneezies stop you, there just isn't enough good old-fashioned snot-art on DA. You could be the one to start the trend by hacking out a Jackson Pollock nose-tribute or something. That would be fun. (I'd fav' it anyway. )

I'm like that with sentences too! I'll spend ages trying to find an alternative word but it always sounds better with the original word!
Oh, we shall show them all right!
Noo, not on my keyboard thankfully! Although, I have done that before! And please do take care with the sparkage! We wouldn't want to ruin your art-y hands!!
Haha, wood! That made me laugh out loud! As did snot-art! As tempting as it sounds, I don't think I'll be starting a snot-art trend any time soon!

That's a shame. I tried to start a foot-painting trend, and forced my son to do a self portrait with his little chin-beard, but those ideas never really took off.
We need some innovation around here. It's all My Little pony and Manga lately. Where are all the rebels and the mavericks hiding?
... Oh... there they are... *whispers* Behind the bookcase! Shhhhhhhh.
Actually, last Summer I had an accident with a hot-glue gun, melted my hands together and ripped the skin off three fingers. They were bound up for six weeks and I couldn't do anything. It was proper crap. So I could do without that again this year. Art would die without me.

Little chin beard? Now that's a fresh idea! Shame it never took off!
Yeah, that's all I see too!
We need to coax them from behind the bookcase! Perhaps with some coffee? They like coffee..right?
Oh god, that sounds terrible! Glue guns can be so cruel!! I hope you punished it!!

"Little Chin Beard". I just realised it sounds like a Red Indian name. (Oops... can't say that anymore. "Native American").
Honestly, I'm so naïve that until very recently I though "smoking crack" was a Native American with chronic dirarrhea!
Soz Holly. That one was horrible. Now you have to live with that image AAAALL day.
That old glue gun was already broken, so served it me right for using it really. 11pm on a Saturday night, and a silicone mould I was squirting glue into burst in my hand filling it with boiling glue, and I stupidly grabbed that hand with the other hand... and then even more stupidly, in panic, tore them apart. Ow.
Two hours in A&E with my hands in ice water before they could tell what was glue and what was skin, then cleaning them with acetone, removing my wedding ring and the side of my finger with it, and six weeks of visits to the dressing clinic. Happy bloody Summer.
The lesson is, if you're working with hot materials, wear gloves! I've still got the glue-gun though. Can't afford to throw away stuff just because it's deadly dangerous.

So it does actually! haha!
Oh god, that was hilarious! Please don't make me laugh like that when my flu is still at it's peak, there be snot-art all over my screen! Sorry for that beautiful image!
Ouch!!! But my first instinct would be to tear my hands apart too!
Oh yes, that does sound like a great summer indeed! Is the skin back to normal now or did it cause permanent damage? :0
If you're not going to throw it out, please don't use it ever again! I bet it's just there looking at you every day taunting you right?!

I haven't used it since, and I've got it in a metal box in the extension with a pair of leather gloves so I never forget.
The skin grew back eventually, but the worse wound was a blister the size of a golf ball on my right thumb that took the whole six weeks to go down (actually, after the nurse told me not to burst it I stuck a darning needle in it because I was sick of it) and the whole inside of that thumb is really tender an feels like there's no padding to it. It gets sore if I draw for a long time.
Funny thing about that night was that a guy who had just cut his wrists started talking to me in A&E, saying how I looked in worse shape than him and we were talking for ages. And when I went outside to wait for a taxi home, six police officers were sitting on him on the floor and he was raving that he just seen them killing a cat! The guy was a complete psycho! What a night.
Go on... sneeze on your monitor and draw some patterns with your finger and take a photo. Dooo it, dooo it!

Oh good! I'm relieved to hear that!
Ah nooo, that's not good at all! Stupid glue gun! I'm glad the rest of the skin grew back!
I hate blisters too! I've actually got some small ones my hands right now due to an allergic reaction from some latex gloves and all I wanna do is shove a needle through 'em! HATE them!
Oh wow, just when you think you've made a new (albeit slightly coo coo) friend, he goes full psycho! Sounds like you had an interesting night though, to be fair! Apart from the pain, of course!
Ughh, no thank you! (:

Thank you for the favs!
Regarding your ID: I think, what´s perceived as "talent" is very often a mix of interest, training and inspiration, especially in photography.
I liked to take pictures "on the way", but I really experienced what is possible when I went out with no other goal than to to take pictures, even when I had just one or two I liked in the end, it was a success for me.
Maybe it´s similar with drawing.
