I've actually been struggling these past few weeks (when am I not struggling lmao), but I feel better now!! My internship turned into a full-time job with benefits and mo money, my health has been up in the air since last week, and Christmas is monday and I'm too hype.

Nearly got killed again yesterday-
An out of control vehicle drove through the sculpture garden at my workplace two minutes after I had left. Scariest feeling, I felt really compelled to water the plants first thing in the morning, and then didn't have to do it in the evening. Seems fateful, because if I did it last I would've been crushed and killed since I'd be right in its path.
*sigh* Just another near-death experience, what can I do, eh?

I'm doing decently, like, coming into work and seeing the path where the vehicle went out of control and stopped fifty meters later in the parking lot, hitting a fence certainly made me glad I wasn't in the way. I work at an art gallery, so the crash did like $25,000 damage to the sculpture garden alone, minimum. I had trouble focusing at work today too, heard a car go by fast and kinda jumped out of my skin a bit, haha.Β
It's just such a surreal feeling, two minutes of difference and I'd have been in the path of the vehicle... Yeah, I'm a bit more used to this sort of thing than most at this point(getting nearly dead I mean) but it does mess with my head a lot. Like, a big part of it is like "Well if I died right then, what could I say I had accomplished?" and I didn't like the realization that I'd been putting a lot of things off because I was too shy/nervous. I know I've done a lot, comparatively, but I don't think I can say I'd be satisfied with what I've done right now if that was it, y'know? I want more, much more. I want to really experience life before I go. It's just such a trip to think about the parallel timeline where I didn't water the flowers in the morning, how many things could affect the way that day went throughout it.Β

Sometimes Tor'll just be like, "...You know what sounds great right now? Salami. I could go for some salami. Fuck it, let's go get some salami!" and jumps outta bed. Now it is like 10:30 PM and Gladion's like, "You're...joking, right?" Meanwhile Tor's already got his pants on and is halfway out the door, like, "I'll go start the car!" So Gladion just sort of shrugs his shoulders and says, "Okay, I guess we're going to go buy salami..."
Except it's Β never just salami, because when they actually get to the store, it's like a whole world of food options just opened up. Tor's reasoning becomes, "You know what goes great with salami? Alolan sweet rolls. We can make a whole sandwich outta this. Alright, what kinda cheese do you want? Also, I'm gonna buy you a 2 liter of soda while we're here because I like you."
The end result is them staying up late and binge watching Netflix, because hey, they got sandwich stuff, so they're gonna make sandwiches, and you can't just sit in bed and eat sandwiches in silence, that's boring.
