certainly! the grayscale and color thing is really super easy. i'd be happy to show you. =]

open the photo up on photoshop and go to image>mode>grayscale to set the color format to black and white. then go back to image>mode>rgb color so you can edit the colors.

lasso the object that you want to color, select feather (i suggest 3 pixels, higher the pixel count if for larger items) and set the foreground color to the shade you want for the object.

right click where you lassoed and select fill. on the contents box select foreground color, opacity level on 60%, and mode on overlay.

there you go!
