I don't usually get very much feedback on my art other than the occasional favorite or collection. Half the amount of people dont know what is it, and can just muster a meek: "wow! that's nice"
and 40% of people dont take it seriously, believing that only things like Anime can be taken seriously and say: "nice Javert and Valjean" and assume that you do not want opinions on the art.
The last 10% of us actually care, and end up leaving a lengthy comment. I appreciate long comments, and do not mind reading all of it.

I know, it's pretty stupid. I'm always disappointed when I spend a week on something that I love and it gets 6 favorites and a comment that says "cool" or something. I think most artists feel that way! I'm all for in-depth comments. I love giving them, I love receiving them. It's a win-win.

Well, I guess you're the person I should turn to if I get a piece of art I want to show. I will let you know, I will never put down a picture. I have had times where people will say: "that sucks" and I will nod my head and say, "Oh, okay then. what can I do to fix it?" and they will say, "I dont know. it just sucks"
It annoys me, if I ever say I dont like something, or I'm confused, or I think something should be changed, I lead with a good thing, I let them know all of the things I like, and all the things they've done right, they are more willing to answer to me, or explaining themselves. It is human nature.

Of course! I would love to look at your art. That's good. I hope that you have figured out why those people didn't like it! That is so annoying that they don't tell you what was so bad about it, though.
Right! People usually just get angry if you point out the bad stuff. You gotta butter them up first. I totally do that too. But don't hold back on the bad stuff. It's just as valuable information as the compliments. Probably more.
