Lol, sorry. I asked because in my first job, I had to raise Lygus bugs (Lygus hesperus) for two years, from egg to adult, so I am quite familiar with them. My own dA name is another insect genus, Thysania, a type of large moth. I suppose you made up the name then. Well, thanks for the fave in any case! I gave you a llama for your support! ^.^

Oh, have you seen my numerous Lackadaisy animations? (I don't mean I Can Has Pancakes, that one was more of a joke) But all those gifs actually took me while a while to make. Like 6-10 hrs each and I sort of like them and a little proud of them. ^.^ The most popular being: [link]

To answer your question, since I am an entomologist, I used to work at a start-up biopesticides company near my college part-time and then for a year after I graduated. We isolated soil samples for bacteria and fungi and concentrated their metabolic compounds to see if they would kill or otherwise harm pest insects (like Lygus bug, tobacco budworm, cabbage looper, diamondback moth, cucumber beetle, flower thrips) and other crop problems, like various crop disease fungi, snails, and even waterway pests like quagga mussels, without harming non-target organisms. It was repetitive work, I tell ya, but still miss that job... *nostalgic* I really didn't like the job I got after that much. :/ Lousy state ento lab-slave job.
