# About me
My name is Stephanie, but feel free to call me Madame Mozart if you'd like.
I'm a 17 year old female and a junior in high school.
I am American/French/Asian, fluent in English, and learning French.
I've loved drawing ever since I was very little. That's probably why I joined dA once I first knew about it. I'd like to share my love of art with you all. ^^
I adore classical music, and I love composers such as Mozart, Vivaldi, Bach, Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, and much, much more. Mozart's my most favorite, if you couldn't already tell.
Other things I like are: history, reading, writing, and animation.

Finally! I found someone who likes music that I like! And tbh, Turbo is not my favorite character. I like Vanellope more, but Turbo is fun to roleplay as far as I know. I joined here by choosing a random character. I was going to join as Napoleon Bonaparte because I relate to him a lot, but I wanted to try something new. XD

Cool! So tell me, are there any modern classical composers whose music that you really like listening to? Mine are Brian Tyler, John Williams, Messiaen, and Ives.

I like John Williams as well. Not sure if Aaron Copland, Claude Debussy, and Samuel Barber count, but they did live in the last century.

Cool. I know a few composers from the last century, including Maurice Ravel, Sergei Rachmaninoff, John Cage, Larry Austin.

I've heard of 'em. Rachmaninoff's pretty cool.
Lately, I've been listening to Dimitri Shostakovich's Suite for Jazz Orchestra. He's another contemporary composer that I've taken a liking to.

What about Aram Khachaturian? Or his nephew Karen Khachaturian (yes, Karen is also a man's name -- don't ask me why)?

Madame-Mozart In reply to TheSkull31 [2017-02-22 22:53:50 +0000 UTC]
I haven't heard of them until now, but listening to Aram Khachaturian's music, I think I may have some of it before (particularly the "Sabre Dance")! I guess it's one of those moments where you hear a recognizable tune but you don't know the composer.
Karen Khachaturian's music is quite nice too, on the other hand, but I think I prefer that of his uncle.
Edit: found out the "Sabre Dance" has been used a lot in popular culture. That explains how I've heard it before.

What about other film composers such as Max Steiner or Jerry Goldsmith or even the daughter of filmmaker Stanley Kubrick, a film composer named Vivian Kubrick?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
Madame-Mozart In reply to TheSkull31 [2017-02-23 04:31:49 +0000 UTC]
Stanley Kubrick rings a bell. I'd also like to say that another composer I like is James Horner.
To be honest, I rarely pay attention to composers of film music - even if the music is brilliant, I don't usually go into the composer's life/other works.
(P.S. Your request is almost done; I just need to get a background done and it should be complete!)

Hello, Madame-Mozart! I have an idea for an art request featuring one of my original characters from my Bronwyn Chronicles saga. Would you like to hear it?

TheSkull31 In reply to Madame-Mozart [2017-02-07 02:46:33 +0000 UTC]
I want you to draw my original character Frieda dressed in formal concert attire (particularly, in a black, sparkly evening dress with the center of the front coming down to her knees and the two sides of the front parting ways as the dress goes further down and the back of the dress touching the ground), and you can even draw a dark-grey tailcoat with three buttons on each side if you so desire, I'll link you to a picture that my friend Megami-Kokoru made a few months ago. And by the way, if you want to give a spectacular title for it, you're more than welcome to do so. As for facial expressions, I picture her conducting the finale of Mahler's Symphony no. 2 with an unbelievable amount of passion and emotion.

Hey, alright - forgive me for the late reply.
I'll be more than happy to draw your lovely character when I have the time! I'll be using that picture you linked as a reference.

Thank you, my friend. And by the way, try to make Frieda as emotional and magnificent as possible in terms of pose and facial expressions. I think that would make the picture even more enjoyable!
