hey thanks! i'm not as active here as I used to be. I hope someday to get back into posting here everyday. I think they would need to update this site because the UI is a little clunkier than say tumblr or instagram.Β

Sometimes when I'm about to comment on the journal or art of someone I follow, I skim briefly over the other comments they get, and I noticed one of yours because you mentioned tlkfaa and your username seemed somehow vaguely familiar, so I decided to check your page to see if you were someone I'd recognize from that site.
And by some crazy coincidence, I find out instead that you're one of my classmates in digital art hahaha.Β I'm so sorry if this is awkward, but I thought I would say hello anyways!Β ;v;

I'm actually in the 316 class myself, haha.Β Though it's hard to talk to many people in there in general since everyone's always at their fixed computer station doing work...Β ;v;Β Everyone in the class seems pretty cool, I do wish I was better at getting to know 'em!

I live on campus for now. Oh that's right you are in the 316 class! You did that really awesome Unicorn fighting a lion picture, right?
I wish we could socialize a little more in class because everyone seems so awesome and helpful, but we only get a chance to talk during critiques. I'm excited for the pot luck thing cause maybe then we can all sit back and relax and meet everyone on the last day XD

I'm having trouble drawing with this tablet. Everything looks like I drew it with a mouse. And I can't remember how to do anything. I am not sure if it is the Photoshop Elements that is throwing me off or if it is stuff I have to learn. I can't remember how to color or what layer line art should be in. I started my app but everything looks horrible. I feel like if I drew it on paper it would look better but then how would I get stuff in the app?

it takes practice getting used to :/
I usually draw line art on a new layer, then put a colored layer under it. If I want to add more color layers I clip them to a base color one. I'll send u a tutorial that might help

with elements you don't have a pen tool, so if it mentions using that the closest thing you have is the lasso tool.
